I'm not totally surprised. She's been pretty focused on the mom life over the last year, maybe a bit out of shape and not as hungry. Peņa would've been a doormat for 2019 Nunez. I bet Shevchenko could take them both out.

Hope you put some money on it! I never would have picked that fight in a million years, but after the fact we can tell that something is up with Nunes... She admit she just "shut down" and the choke wasn't even fully in when she tapped, she just quit.

But I think she'll be back and would destroy Pena in a rematch.. As long as her coaching is good

MarkyMark 12-11-2021 09:45 PM

It's hard to say, when someone who was once so dominant loses out of nowhere it sometimes spells the beginning of the end. The immediate reaction is "oh they've been dominate so long they didn't train as hard as they once did". Fair enough. I'm sure she'll get an immediate rematch so we will definitely find out.

fliptuner 12-11-2021 10:03 PM

I made 250 on Kara-France, 600 on Peņa and 150 on Olivera lol

whitev70r 12-12-2021 12:45 AM

Da Bronx got rocked again in the 1st round .... but then comes back for the finish! Really impressive. 2 really decent human beings in the ring there for the main card. Poirier was really heartbroken at the post-game as he was the 'unofficial crowned' champion ... don't underestimate Oliveira!

I wonder if Oliveira could last past one round with Gaethje's fists .. that guy hits hard. If Da Bronx gets knocked down in round 1 again with Gaethje, he may not be able to recover to put in place the ground game in round 2.

I thought her reaction was a good one though; reminded me of old Conor when he lost. Gracious in defeat, they say they'll go straight back to the gym and work on that aspect of their game. Conor always did just that until he didn't. I give Nunes the benefit of doubt for now, and there's not much reason to expect her not to continue dominating.

If she loses another one though you might be proven right

Also nice to see Poirier lose! SeemsGood

fliptuner 12-12-2021 10:23 AM

I'll bet on Nunes getting the belt back. Hell, she put her down, twice, with 2 leg kicks. She obviously has the ability, I just think her mind wasn't right.

whitev70r 12-18-2021 09:37 PM

Not sure if it belongs here but just in case anyone cares ... a tiny bit impressive.

Derrick Lewis also a W with a 1st round knockout.

BlackV62K2 12-19-2021 12:52 AM

What an embarrassment. Woodley should've stopped fighting a long time ago.

SkinnyPupp 12-19-2021 03:09 AM

Woodley embarrassing himself again, I think he even got the dude's name tattooed on him to get this rematch. Yikes.

MarkyMark 12-19-2021 09:04 AM

Yeah but he probably made more money getting knocked out than he did his whole UFC career lol. This is basically a washed up UFC champ retirement plan

whitev70r 12-19-2021 09:23 AM

Even though it's garbage boxing ... you gotta hand it to the Paul guy who seeks to pay the fighters fairly ... unlike Dana White and the UFC!

mikemhg 12-19-2021 11:46 AM

Woodley is a joke, so glad to see that idiot get KTFO.

He's such a boring and timid fighter, and looks nothing like he did many years ago.

He needs to fade away into complete obscurity, he's made UFC/MMA look like an absolute mockery with his performances.

GLOW 12-19-2021 06:06 PM

did the ric flair

BlackV62K2 12-20-2021 01:29 PM

Woodley wasn't relevant after losing his title. He became a bitter shitty fighter with a shitty side rap career.

GLOW 01-16-2022 05:39 PM

nice chikadze vs kattar fight

whitev70r 01-22-2022 10:16 PM

hmm ... didn't expect it to go to 5 and decision. Thought for sure there would be a KO. What about you @MikemhginMexico?

BlackV62K2 01-22-2022 10:18 PM

What a boring main event. There's nothing interesting at heavy weight anymore and haven't been in a long time. Leg lock attempt by Gane from top position :fulloffuck:

SkinnyPupp 01-22-2022 10:48 PM

Ngannou had a torn MCL and strained ACL from a training injury.. Amazing that he was able to win! Yeah it was boring, but it was either this, get blasted with a bum knee, or just not show up to fight which he had the right to do

Amazing! Glad I didn't watch it LUL

MarkyMark 01-22-2022 11:03 PM

So is Jones going to fight at heavyweight or retire? Seems like he wants to tweet about it a lot but I'm sure Dana doesn't want to open up the UFC wallet either. What's next if not Jones?

Never would've guessed that outcome, to win by decision? He's definitely elevated his game big time.

MarkyMark 01-28-2022 03:22 PM

So bad it's good

whitev70r 01-28-2022 04:16 PM

Haha ... that's good cuz I do hate Dana White too. I hope Logan starts a mutiny in the UFC fighters and bankrupt that bald SOB.

SkinnyPupp 01-28-2022 05:10 PM

Jake Paul had 3 of the 20 biggest PPVs last year. His first Woodley match had 500K buys, beating fights like Stipe vs Ngannou and Oliveira vs Chandler. (second fight did 150K lol)

That fight also did an enormous 18K attendance, bigger than all but 3 UFC events

Guy is a douche but anyone sticking it to Dana White is OK in my books

fliptuner 02-11-2022 12:04 AM

Lewis and Tuivasa are so dope. Lol
