Damage is a big factor, and Yan was clearly badly beaten up by those jabs and crisp right hands. The man looked like he put his face through a buzzsaw by the end of the fight.

That's the thing though, Paul ain't gonna fight anyone in their prime so we're basically stuck with the short list of retired fighters who aren't a complete shell of their former selves.
If this didn't do a good buyrate, and I don't think it did, I doubt we see very many of these freakshow boxing matches.. They were huge for a bit coming out of covid, but it looks like the hype is finally dead.
I think he'd have to face an actual boxer to get people interested again.. But then you need to get non boxing fans to care about actual boxing and not freakshow stuff.
