I know it's after the fact, but look at Barao at the weigh ins. He looks like he's knocking on death's door...
Despite his winning streak, I have always disputed the claim for "best pound for pound just after Anderson" and other such statements. It's hard to call a guy best pound for pound when he is fighting guys who weigh like 20 lbs less than him.
One of the favorites in the UFC community is stepping away from the microphone and heading into the octagon. According to sources within the UFC, Joe Rogan will be taking center stage in an upcoming UFC bout.
According to Rogan, the fight was scheduled due to a challenge by an un-named fighter.
“Basically, this fighter called me a bitch and said I wouldn’t step in to the ring,” said Rogan in an interview on Saturday afternoon. “So I convinced Dana [White] to let me fight and now I’m going to show this guy who the bitch is.”
Since the beginning of the UFC Rogan has been there in support, and even traveling with the organization before the company blew up. He cashed in a few favors with Dana White and now the fight is set to take center stage.
“There is a reason we have Joe on our team here in UFC, he isn’t just a personality, he is a great fighter with knowledge about the sport,” said White.
“I feel bad for the dude that called him out, because I promise Joe will knock the living shit out of him. He’s going to wish he challenged Joe in his other show Fear Factor rather than going into the octagon with him. I know I myself would rather eat a bull testicle then take a kick to the face from Rogan.”
Dana White has yet to make an official comment for the fight but it is expected that he will within the next week. A date for the event should be set sometime after.
Lawler vs Matt Brown for Fox 12. This was added to the show at the last moment, since the deadline was today.
What's crazy about this is Lawler was pretty much already next in line, unless Tyron Woodley did something AMAZING while beating Rory.
Lawler is taking a big risk here... Normally I would say he doesn't really care, but after that promo he cut on the weekend he sure seems to now.
Fox 12 is shaping up to be a great card too
Robbie Lawler vs. Matt Brown
Anthony Johnson vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira
Michael Johnson vs. Josh Thomson
Daron Cruickshank vs. Jorge Masvidal
Dennis Bermudez vs. Clay Guida
Noad Lahat vs. Steven Siler
Kyle Kingsbury vs. opponent TBA
It's so sad that card is better than the vancouver card and on ppv lol
I can't really blame lawler. He made 200k last fight and I can see him getting another 200k as I see him beating up brown IMO. I'm excited for this fight as well as it's got foty potential all over it.
It will be funny if he does win and faces Hendricks after winning two fights and banking $400K while Hendricks just sat there waiting for his first title defence
Although Lawler doesn't have much of a personality, I'd rather see him have the belt instead of Hendricks. I don't know why, but Lawler is so much more
likeable. Hendricks is just a fruit.
Lawler is likeable because he has been around forever, has gone from being a potential amazing fighter, to pretty much bust ass, and back to being a title contender. The story itself is amazing, but on top of that his fighting style is very entertaining. He's a pretty big star now, and that has been amazing to watch over the how many years

very childish imo... I didn't see a point of this as Barao has been respectful...and on top of that, their "leader" Uriah lost to Barao twice lol.
and aldo chopping him down.
now I'm hoping Barao smashes him next time with a better game plan

I wouldn't like this so much if it wasn't such a completely dominant performance.
Heck. Even sonnen said months ago that wand Wudnt fight him lol... Maybe that takedown from the show told wand to not take the fight and get beat up lol
