So people are upset that Rumble apparently headbutted Gus and that lead to the "knockdown" and ensuing barrage that finished him. If you watch the slow mo you can clearly see a headbutt and Gus drops because of it. Sucks.

Good. The more butthurt Gustafsson fans are, the better
Really though you can't tell anything from that gif anyway. I still have an HD copy of the event, and from the other side you can tell his head didn't touch anything at all. If anything, it hit his right arm.
Looks like the punch glanced off and hit the shoulder but the head jars him pretty good. I don't really care as I like Rumble so I would prefer to see him fight Jones but to me it looks like that headbutt may have done some damage.
I think Diaz missing the open workouts is just a work. Kind of expected at this point.
rumbles head clearly hits gus' arm/shoulder. gus's hair doesn't move at all until the right connects and then it goes flying forward. well, maybe there is a slight wiggle as the momentum changes. and in this gif, you can see the punch land alot better than the other one. it hits him right on the jaw in front of his ear. its not a KO blow, but damn sure enough to put gus on a knee. plus gus literally dove face first into it. if he was on his feet, he likely could have rolled with it and it would have had less of an effect.
if there was an arguement for any head contact, it looks like it might be after the punch lands and gus is already on his way down and rumble is standing back up and he might just barely graze his forehead, but it actually looks like he barely hit his hair. especially when you watch both gifs
Sorry I don't take any argument that is a guy filming his own tv seriously when it's a bad angle to begin with and there are other high quality gifs available from better angles
I dunno. You can clearly see his hair shoot up (this was the point you were trying to make) after the head contact. The punch IMO is a strong but glancing blow. The headbutt looks like it has a tonne of force. If you have ever headbutted someone or been headbutted you know that it doesn't take a huge impact to have a huge effect.
The punch absolutely rocked him and if their heads clashed, it was after Rumbles head stopped its forward movement and reversed direction, as he was standing back up.
Lets not forget that wasn't even the end of the fight. Gus was still in it and fought for like 30 seconds and exchanged striking, and had quick footwork movements after.
