Dana's going to be happy either way lol

MarkyMark 01-30-2015 06:08 PM

If Aldo absolutely shit kicks Connor to the point where people don't even want to see a rematch I can see Dana being a little butt hurt. Connor would be a great champion to have

SkinnyPupp 01-30-2015 06:15 PM

Obviously Conor as champion with a rematch in the mix would be the best outcome for everyone.. But if he loses, which most people are expecting, it will still create enough noise to capitalize on. He can go back to another, more "appropriate" title run.

This is a big enough fight that they win either way IMO

neggo 01-31-2015 02:33 AM

Even if Conor loses, he'll still be a draw. He's intelligently created "beef" with everyone in his division to be able to stay relevant.

Conor as a champion would be so awesome, though.

so Kelvin Gastelum forgot that he was supposed to cut weight (again, for the 3rd fight) and came in at 180 for his 170lb fight

Also even worse, Weidman is pulling out of the fight next month.

recipe for new generation of champs:
1) keep fighting until get title shot
2) win belt
3) any injury from papercut to legit injury pull from fight
4) sit on belt
5) profit???

:troll:

SkinnyPupp 01-31-2015 04:25 PM

Gastelum was sick all week with the flu, that's why he couldn't cut. You'll note at the weigh in that nobody was really mad at him. Edit: Nevermind

Compare that to the reaction to Lineker when he missed by 5 lbs

SkinnyPupp 01-31-2015 05:10 PM

BTW if anyone has links you can post them in the NSFW section ;) They will be deleted after the event

RRxtar 01-31-2015 06:44 PM

It's available on ufc.com and YouTube :troll:

Ch28 01-31-2015 08:39 PM

Nick "Master of Troll-Fu" Diaz

RRxtar 01-31-2015 08:41 PM

I'm not convinced he back. Movement had a lot less flow and his striking was a lot less precise and crisp. He showed some flashes of it, but i dunno. Real good to see him come back and win again tho. Does he retire?

Big lols when nick layed down in the first round lol

Kill the screaming lady.

Oh and Woodley is over rated as shit

2 n r 01-31-2015 08:45 PM

silva is definitely not the same and shouldnt even think about another run at the title

hope gsp comes back so we can see that fight finally happen

Doubt GSP would do it unless he's bulked up 10-15 lbs in pure muscle. Silva walks around 220-230.

411ken 01-31-2015 09:06 PM

can't blame silva as he definitely wanted the win big time.... it sucks for diaz though as he wanted to make it a "dirty" fight lol.. he's one tough sob though..

as for gastelum.. I'm actually a fan of his when he came in shape, etc.. I actually had to youtube his last weigh in at 170 and what a difference for sure lol
