I know. It's just lame how all he said was "It wont happen". It's hard to give someone credit when they give 0 details. Otherwise it could just be a random prediction.

JJ ducking rumble, getting himself arrested :troll:

Ch28 04-27-2015 11:19 PM

He's out on a measly $2500 bail

Florian and Kevin Iole have come out and said he should be stripped of the title. Can't have a champion represent your company when he's such a fucking mess outside of the cage.

Manic! 04-27-2015 11:29 PM

They re going to sent him back to rehab plus he will get some community service . Maybe have an interim champion.

Brett Okamoto @bokamotoESPN
•ABQ off duty policeman identified Jones running from three-car accident. He was in a rental car. Marijuana pipe inside.
No cocaine was found in the rental car Jones fled. ABQ spokesperson was very clear on that.
•According to ABQ police report, the vehicle Jones was traveling in ran a red light. Silver SUV, rented.
•According to police report, suspect fled then returned to the car to grab a large hand full of cash.
•If it's true Jones ran back to vehicle for cash, that means he ran away from potential injured woman, came back for money, left her again.

:heckno:

If they're able to prove that he was DUI then he's pretty fucked since he was arrested a few years back for a DUI as well

nobody can deny JJ talent in the octagon, he's is without a doubt the best P4P fighter in the ufc IMO love him or hate him he's an all time great. That being said, he's a fucking dumbass outside the octagon and he should be stripped of his title. like mentioned above I think it'll look bad having your biggest superstar go out and act like a jackass and not have any serious consequences. strip him of his title and suspend him for a good length of time like you would with any other fighter. just cuz your a champion and a big name it shouldnt mean you get treated differently in situations like these. very curious to see how dana handles this one

neggo 04-28-2015 12:34 AM

Jon Jones will come back and finally embrace his full heel character.....

in the WWE

SkinnyPupp 04-28-2015 01:37 AM

Personally I don't really care what any athlete does with their own life. Let their sponsors deal with that shit however they want.

not sure what your point is but since you touched on boxing, boxing is somewhat different in the sense that they are not working for one major company, and that the promoters and the fighters have a lot more power than the fighters do in the ufc. as one major company managing all the top fighters in the world they have the power to strip and suspend a lot more easier than boxing. mayweather did his time now hes a free man. JJ just got out of rehab and messed up again, something should be done. and with mayweather he's part of the biggest fight of our decade because hes an incredible boxer. whether you think hes an asshole or not im sure every fan of boxing will still tune in to every mayweather fight

JJ is a massive draw for the UFC. Fans don't really care what he does outside the ring as long as he puts on a good fight. If they drop him Strike Force would pick him up the next day.

murd0c 04-28-2015 04:40 PM

they would never drop him, he makes the UFC too much money and they have been lacking that these days

SkinnyPupp 04-28-2015 05:00 PM

They won't drop him. Also Strikeforce no longer exists.

My guess is, 1 year suspension, interim title (Rumble vs Bader) and reunify it next year. He'll probably get a fine or probation, go to rehab (for real this time) and also have to pay a rather large settlement to the woman. Reebok will likely drop him.

Ch28 04-28-2015 07:03 PM

Jones stripped of his title.

Well done UFC

murd0c 04-28-2015 07:22 PM

well damn and Cormier now as a title fight against Rumble in May

RRxtar 04-28-2015 07:46 PM

Everything went better than expected

RRxtar 04-28-2015 07:55 PM

if DC wins the title it will be so fucking meaningless. he just got absolutely worked over by JJ 2 months ago, and showed absolutely nothing that would suggest he could ever beat him. if he suddenly became champion (and i think He beats rumble) it makes the belt so hollow.

It would be like if mighty mouse stepped aside after the benevidez fight and benevidez won the vacant belt.

SkinnyPupp 04-28-2015 08:01 PM

It's pretty much what would happen anyway - Jones beats DC then beats Rumble. DC and Rumble have a non title main event and we find out who is the best in the division not named Jon Jones.

The only difference is there would be a belt, which needs to be on the best fighter in the division not named Jon Jones while he's suspended.

taeyoung92 04-28-2015 08:07 PM

the hype for DC before he fought JJ reminded me of the BJ Penn vs Diego Sanchez hype. After Penn completely destroyed Sanchez I will never get caught up in the pre fight countdowns ever again LOL

SkinnyPupp 04-28-2015 08:18 PM

As bad as JJ made him look, DC dominates everyone who isn't JJ

true i was rooting for DC, but the worst part about it was how JJ took down DC numerous of times after DC said he would pretty much rag doll JJ :rukidding:

SkinnyPupp 04-28-2015 08:28 PM

Yup that was a sad fight to watch as a DC fan. After throwing around Barnett of all people, I had higher hopes.

I think he can potentially beat him some time though... As for now, we can enjoy him being LHW champion soon :awwyeah:
