parked my s14 in front of MCD on bridgeport, grabbed my ice coffee and decided to have a smoke before entering my vehicle, a man in his mid-late 40`s in a maroon caravan drove behind my car sticking his head out the window looking at my s14.
my first impression is òh shit, this fucker gonna high jack me in front of mcd.
He then looked at me and asked, `this car yours`
I answered, yes
an awkward pause.... all of sudden he gives me the thumbs up and said, good car; very good car. do you mind i ask how much these things go for now.
i replied, this is a 97, but for this generation 240sx it could range from 4000-7000 depending on he condition.
he smiled and commented as he cruised away slowly, keep it in good shape; really good car.
made my day for the rest of the week.

my ex thought my celica was some kind of ferrari or porsche when i first picked her up. she thought my car was dope, until her ex pointed out it was just a toyota and its slower than his RSX. that piece of shit.
Celica has been called Ferrari and a toddler pointed and said to his dad 'it's the batmobile!'

A lot of people don't even know what a gen coupe is let a lone get confused with a different badge.
I get my fair share of thumbs up and I had one eastern European guy walk around my car 4 times while I was pumping gas and talking to me with a heavy accent.
Why do people ask "how fast have you gone" It's like asking a drug dealer how much coke he has sold. Speeding is breaking the law and it's not something you want to brag about to strangers.

Was on my way home from a dinner downtown. Friend calls me to pick him up from Gossip. Pulled up. Long story short. Spotted my friend some cab fare, and brought some random back to her place

When driving with a buddy's R32, I get reactions from girls, and he gets them from dudes. He hates me.
And a bunch of random reactions. Loud BOV, random flames from the exhaust, Turbo timer, and people thinking it's some kinda exotic.
But by far, the most reactions I got from any of the cars I've owned, was my SC400 with the giant ricey "I'M KILLING IT" Sticker on the Rear Window. It was funnier when my Mom borrowed the car, and people would pull up next to her and start revving, only to see a little old Chinese lady behind the wheel.
Get asked this one a lot. Also "I think there's something wrong with your cams, they sound weird."
"Is that a 944?" I'll give them this, it's got a similar front end.
My brother was picking me up from work downtown on a saturday night a few years ago (I used to work at the Commodore) and one of my co-workers turns to me and goes "is that an R34?? I thought those weren't legal in Canada yet!" I lol'd and went home without explaining that it was an S5 rx7.
Best comment I've had with my FB "What the hell is it?!" It was de-badged and apparently no one knows what first gen rx7's look like
A lot of folks confused my S13 with an RX7 before... Guess my GP Sports aero threw them off, lol. People always seemed to think my suspension was broken too due to the negative camber.
With my Miata now, an old timer once asked me which Ferrari it was. Not sure if he was trolling or not, but maybe he just assumed red = Ferrari, lol. Posted via RS Mobile
1) Gas station filling up, guy says my tires look like they're deflated, although I'm just on low profiles (245/30/20 at the time)
2) Driving through the Cassiar Tunnel, and 2 cars pull up afterwards telling me my car sounds hotter then a Ferrari
3) Parked under a tree at friends house, bird had laxatives or something, 1/3 of my passenger side was shat on. Had to pick someone up from DT and 4 pretty hot girls yell to me "you have bird shit on your car"...followed by giggles, while I was trying to make a right turn on Thurlow and Robson
