You leave a deposit (around 100,000yen) and once you bid on and win a car you pay the outstanding balance including their fee and shipping.

Rhd was difficult pulling out of residential street parking. Lol never 100% the road was clear, just slowly inching out and hoping no one will honk. |

and there is no excuses for curbing your rims

If you go to a good company then there should be no issues with the car, after I paid my deposit my exporter looked at many cars. Before we even bid I had videos and photos of the interior and exterior of the car, he test drove the car to see how it ran and if there was any weird noises.
I had a wonderful experience buying a car from japan, and when/if I have the money for another I know where and who I'm going through.
p.s. this is my second RHD over the years (first was bought here in Canada) and I have no issues with driving. Ya I take a little longer then some to make a left at intersections, but thats about it.

Does anyone know if EDM vehicles are viewed the same as JDM vehicles with respect to the 15 year rule? Only info I could find was #13 on the Admissible Vehicle sheet.

If he doesn't want to do that (or even offer that), then he isn't the person you want to deal with.
