I think I read something that the next generation will be dropping "Shelby" from its branding as that ended with the outgoing generation. Im sure there will be a "Shelby tribute" model sooner than later tho. But for what its worth, SVT is still active and is the group that is developing the Mustang GT500. The F150 Raptor is still actually F150 SVT Raptor. and has branding on the tailgate and fender grills http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3323/...89b9796075.jpg http://racing.ford.com/enthusiasts/c.../ford-svt.html |
i get confused with the svt badging on the current gt500. it says shelby of course, but on parts of the car such as the wheels, it says svt, and there is the svtpp option (stands for "svt performance package")... |

240hp and 300tq for a 2.3L engine????. :suspicious: |
Baseline pull was even worse at American Muscle - 231 hp. Custom Tuning The 2015 Mustang EcoBoost To Make Big Power! | AmericanMuscle.com Mustang Blog Not too surprising though since the '11-'14 3.7L would usually be anywhere between 240 and 265. |
i am sad :( |
That's one hell of a lap from that Camaro... As for the Mustang, still about 1.5s improvement from the '14 and faster than a '14 Corvette Willow Springs - Streets of Willow lap records - FastestLaps.com |
i can't find a GM dealer that has an SS 1LE in stock that is not customer ordered to test drive... they always seem to more more concerned about chrome wheels and stripe packages rather than performance :( |
i still cant get over the looks of the 2015. going to take some time i guess... |
more disappointment :( |

maybe it's age, or because i'm tired of dealing with warranty issues, but these days i like it more when the car is good straight out of the box. |
