I need your help here... I'm buying a brand new sealed S3 for $260...

1. Is it a good price?
2. How could I authenticate it... could i go to samsung store metro and have them check it?
3. How could I unlocked it?

Price is ok

i'm not sure what you mean by authenticating it? do you mean you want to make sure it's not a S2 in a S3 case or?

unlock.. you can go online and buy a code for 15 bucks, then just put a SIM (from a different provider) and enter the unlock code. (i've done it with S3 and S4)

I just want to make sure that its real not fake....

Is it actually easy to unlock? Do you think Samsung store is able to verify it?

Does it come with a receipt? How would you know that inside the box is filled with a rock and resealed? Open the box and check if the imei on the inside of phone matches the imei on the box. Call and check if the imei is blocked/reported stolen. You can get it unlocked for free online via http://forums.redflagdeals.com/free-...-bell-1266487/.

Oh definitely I will open and check it but some fakes looks really close to real deal...

Could I walkin in samsung store and have them check the warranty + see if phone is original?

Thanks for the link.... hopefully they have a video tutorial. I'm not familiar with android I'm more in IOS

Just turn it on and go to something like settings>about phone> model #and it should tell you what it is.

I don't think i've ever encountered a "fake" phone that wasn't explicitly fake like Sansumg or Lokia. The key is to test it out, turn it on, play with it and determine if it's "real" or not.

No offence, but you sound super clueless. If i were you i'd get a little more familiar with the phone model and its features. That way you're less likely to get ripped off and you actually know what you're buying. There are many stores at parker/aberdeen that will unlock your phone for pretty cheap. I wouldn't mess with it if you don't know what you're doing. Seeing as how you aren't even able to differentiate between a fake / real phone, you should probably just pay someone to do it. It'll save you the hassle in the long run. Also, I don't think there are that many "fake" Samsung S3s out there. If you can somewhat tell what the phone looks like and know its basic features you should be fine.
