Soundy, do you remember the parade held in Vancouver for Nancy Greene?

My god, she was an awesome athlete, winning gold in the giant slalom by a margin of 2.68 seconds. A margin so big, it took score keepers a while to display the time. One of the most decisive wins in Olympic history.

Sorry, guys.... old timers talk. LOL.

Soundy 02-17-2014 08:40 PM

Oh fuck, those were the days, eh? And then along came them Crazy Canucks...

Nancy wasn't bad to look at in her prime either (little butch, maybe, but still...)

Anyone watching snowboard cross? Shits getting exciting

Manic! 02-17-2014 10:35 PM

Snowboard Cross is way to crazy. They should sent them down one by one and go by time.

daval 02-17-2014 10:46 PM

too bad, canadians didn't make the finals.

j.f0ng 02-17-2014 11:03 PM

Fuck, the Russian guy was untouched from beginning to end. Too bad he ended up with a silver :QQ:

RS_Pat 02-17-2014 11:06 PM

Snowboard cross is by far the most exciting event! Some pretty crazy crashes!

FUXK. Hamelin went down again.....................such bad luck for the short track skater man.

ShyGuy 02-18-2014 01:42 AM

Poor Charles Hamelin...crashes in 2 races where he is favored to win. The ice looks like shit in Sochi...looks like they're skating in a pool of water.

Ch28 02-18-2014 01:45 AM

Hamelin and St. Jelly both wiped out lol

Marshall Placid 02-18-2014 01:46 AM

So Charles Hamelin falls, again.

His brother fell in the relay.

And Marianne St-Gelais (sp), gf of Charles, falls too.

What is the probability of all 3-related skaters falling?

Nerves? Pressure? Or...

It was exciting to watch all 3 Canadians at the 500m though.

Ch28 02-18-2014 01:49 AM

They're just going to blame it on shitty ice as an excuse.

Problem here is, the ice is the same for everybody.

I'm no expert, but if I were to blame something, I'd put it on their skate sharpening - sort of like choosing the right type of wax on skis for different conditions.

Mind you, choking is Canada's favourite pastime, LOL.

If only the IOC recognized it as an official sport. We would be as dominant in that as the Germans are in sled sports :toot:

jeedee 02-18-2014 06:48 AM

holy crap the Dutch are good at speed skating..

5 gold
5 silver
6 bronze

:ahwow:
