and wtf... time slots can get sold out phuc.
If you wanted to, you can line up (the line up is a 30 minute wait in the cold) to get tickets for "sold out" slots.

They reserve some spaces for walk-ins.

But, to make sure, phone them first.

Bright nights is alright. Go at the beginning of the day to pick up tickets. Beware that even if you have the ticket. You'll be waiting 15-20mins to get on the train.

This street is pretty neat.
TRINITY STREET LIGHT FESTIVAL! ? Vancouver Is Awesome
Strip of houses that are decorated with lights.
or
My gf likes looking at house lights.. so I'm gonna grab a BBT from dragon ball and drive around that area looking at random houses & lights. Aka hot drink, warm car, cruising the city to look at the house lights.
(Might not be your thing but we both like looking at fancy houses lol..)

I've always wanted to go to the top of Grouse eat at the restaurant and skate on the outdoor rink. I think that would be a perfect place to go.

Anything new this year?
-We've been to all the same old light shows that show up every year (van dusen and the junky brite nights show)

-We've been to the overpriced German Christmas market 2 years in a row. The first year was best because the $9 groupon thingy came with 2 mugs. Unfortunately, we won't be going again because there was nothing new to see last year.

We are planning to eventually goto the aquarium for the jelly fish light thing (we have year passes)

Now what else to do for December Christmas time?

Go to Kerrisdale, close by and there's tons of eats there. Lots of Japanese... couple of good Western restaurants.

Buy a Christmas tree and decorate it together? Load up a Christmas playlist on Songza and bake some Christmas cookies? Most women love decorating and baking.

Host a Christmas/holiday dinner for friends?

Ajisai and Faubourg are good, Shota Sushi is pretty decent sushi, Avenue Grill isn't bad.

We're spoiled for choice in Vancouver, I live in a small town now and most of the restaurants in Kerrisdale are better than here. I can't even find sushi in town!
