Basically nothing other than cleaning up the account happened
She filed with BBB, credit agencies, etc and even after that it was STILL fucked up on her account..
The fraud agency telus has offered her like $20 off her next bill and that was the extent of the compensation
They will allow her to cancel her phone contract with no fees if she returns the phone and were just waiting for shaw to have a promotion to switch to their tv package

I sure hope you called the CC company. They are great when dealing with fraud and usually it is a painless procedure as it is clear her info has been compromised. Best of luck in this case to you. Posted via RS Mobile |

I'm glad I never switched over to Telus even after knowing all the promos and things they have tried to convert me over from Shaw. Not saying Shaw is the best in the world, since their prices is still quite expensive. Getting Shaw to move an inch on reduced cheaper billing even being a customer for so many years will never happen LOL. Although their service provided is quite good, well seems better than Telus. That's my view, everyone might have good and bad between the two providers.
Thats ridiculous to offer $20 compensation after the OP gf went through all that. I'd flip out.

I easily got $20 off my fido bill once because I made a package change and then I lost data plan on my phone in the morning. Just be firm, don't yell and scream. After working with my co-workers for a few years (he used to work for a collection agency) I learn a thing or two when trying to get better deals or get things the way I want with service providers.

sounds like you've probably spent at least 5 hours dealing with this shit. essentially they're saying you're only worth $4/hr. nice.

There was no "hassle for more" she spent 6+ hours on the phone with various CSR's including supervisors and that was the compensation they thought fitted the problems mostly because until she started dealing directly with a "fraud supervisor" she never talked to the same person, so they figured the problem was fixed and would push it onto Somone else
Didn't like telus to begin with and after this I'll never go with them for anything, absolutely pathetic CSR and I've dealt with plenty to know what's good and what's bad Posted via RS Mobile |
