I can't decide whether to be super sad that we lost a highly influential figurehead for our hobby or marvel in the way he went out. Life imitating art. The irony broke my nose it hit so hard. Truly tragic though. Condolences to his family and friends.
I'd like to think he'd like to be remembered as a true car enthusiast first, and Brian O'Conner second. I always thought he had awesome taste in cars. When you think about it, he made a healthy living as an actor while acting in movies that brought a hobby he was already passionate about to the lime light. And this turned into an impressive collection of cars. What a fucking sweet gig!!
Love it or hate it, the original F&F movie turned mailing lists into real car forums, ordering parts from magazines turned into an online marketplace and new school hot rodders(ricers to most) were communicating like never before. The movies are perfect in their flaws and corniness and still helped shape our community in many ways.
Huh? where did you get Jason Biggs from? If you're referring to the Disney film they worked on together in Vancouver, no, it was on another production outside of Vancouver.
FUCK PAUL WALKER! Its one thing if you kill yourself in a crash, but another if you kill an innocent passenger also, reminds of the moron Ryan Dunham, it is very sad none the less!

All our principal actors have insurance policies taken out on them during production. Some contracts do have provisions in them preventing them from engaging in high risk activities during the course of production but that goes on a case by case basis.
RIP Paul, I had the pleasure of meeting him while working for one of my clients on location in the same film as him. Truly an easy going everyday guy despite his fame. Posted via RS Mobile
One project I worked on, the lead actor wasn't allowed to ride his motorcycle until the end of the production. 'Course, guess what he would always show up to work in.
Paul Walker was always on my list of celebrities I'd love to one day meet, not because he was a good actor but because his hobbies coincided with mine and from what I had heard from others in the industry about him being a genuinely good guy to hang out with.
judging by all the various car parts scattered all over the road as seen in the videos, I would assume he was moving at a brisk pace. Apparently there was a video of them driving right before the crash, but that video was deleted right away, so it's speculation at this point whether speed was a factor.
Just by looking at the damage and the aftermath, I would say that they were speeding, given that it's a single vehicle accident and that amount of damage doesn't happen when you go 45mph on a city street, which is what it looks like in the video...
I remember being in elementary school and being into cars at a young age, my sister took me to watch The Fast And The Furious movie. I remember this was the scene that had me thinking this is gonna be such a fucking cool movie
