I've been in a similar situation. Was a couple years ago when I had my N and was driving out of downtown back to coquitlam. There was a stop checking for drunk drivers and after when the officer was letting me drive off he noticed I didn't have my N sticker on. He gave me a ticket and told me to dispute and that he was only giving it to me because there was another stop on the exit into coquitlam later on and he said they would give it to me anyways and might not be as nice...lol so I think that implied he wasn't going to show up if I disputed it
