Cars required for Television commercial

We are shooting a TV commercial in Vancouver Dec 18/19 and are looking for a few vehicles to be featured in the spot.

- 4 to 6 'Tuners' We are looking for real street driven vehicles, not show cars. Prefer cars with bolt on accessories like flares, spoilers, multi coloured. These cars will not be driven and will only be positioned in a parking lot. Our casting department are looking for drivers to be seen with their cars as well.

- Low rider. Truck or larger vehicle preferred.

Hey broski, maybe you should post a picture of something you're looking for. Otherwise, you're going to get the whole gamut.

any compensation? or just to have your car on a possible tv ad?

If there's decent compensation i have a buddy with a sick car who'd do this... Not for free though.

Anyone looking to actually do this, make sure you read the release and insurance forms before blindly signing them.

Trust me on this. ;)

Oh, wasn't meant to be ominous or anything. Insurance forms usually state that the film crew is not liable for any damage to the car at any point during the shoot, and the release form will sometimes state something along the lines that any footage used of you and your car can be used for multiple things, not just the one commercial.

ahhh, ok thanks for the info. The way your last post was worded made it seem like there was some potential shadiness or scam.

Thanks for the quick response everyone.
In regards to insurance, the production company does have full coverage when the vehicles are on set. The cars will not be driven and casting is interested in possibly using the actual owners with their cars. We are interested in a variety of cars but again, we are looking for more of the 'non' show car looks. More of the self built/modified/added a spoiler etc look. Nothing too expensive. The cars should be something a teenager could drive. If anyone is interested they can PM for more details. There will be compensation for the car and additionally for talent. Currently it is scheduled to be an evening shoot in the Vancouver area.

That sounds interesting. Too bad my car doesn't have a kit.

It is a proper autocross classed car though :P

And the roof goes down ;)
