So I've got my first mileage run to finish off Delta Gold status lined up. I might be crazy... this is done over 2 days (Nov 15/16).

YXS-YVR-EWR-DFW is done using LM to pay for the position flight. Found a cheap Delta ticket DFW-SLC-SEA-YYC ($150!) that is upgrade eligible, and then gotta figure out a way back from YYC-YXS...

Looks like the official one from CXcitement. Which uses Hogan IIRC.

Amuro Ray: how much is staff discount? 15%?

Not sure about Y, but flown with them half a year ago in J and it was pretty decent. But again - my expectation's aren't that high. Just give me a damn seat that would lay flat so I can sleep for ~7-8 hours and a meal or two that wouldn't give me diarrhea for dayss.

DWC was just a runway and a LOT of parking... DXB is a shopping mall with airplane gates attached to it.
DWC is shaping up to be the "replacement" DXB seeing how pax and cargo traffic is increasing every year. And supposedly they're building a high speed link between DWC and DXB so it makes even more sense to use DWC as a second hub for Emirates and split their flights because even with the expansion, DXB is having a tough time handling the traffic.

On a side note, China Eastern is flying their new A330 into YVR. The new livery looks much better.

This is probably only affects lowly Y class people like me.

Does anyone find it funny AC only gives out free snacks for flights less than 2 hours, but won't on longer flights so they can hawk you their over priced snacks instead. Even WJ gives snacks regardless of flight length.

So small update to my baggage claim. I got mail today from Lufthansa, open it up and a cheque falls out in the amount of $850. No letter, just the cheque. Very happy with the outcome.

Lol, I'm shocked at the amount as well. And I just sent an e-mail with my baggage claim info via their website in September. They never e-mailed back or called and never asked what was in my suitcase.

I believe in the EU there's a law where airlines have to pay out a certain amount for delayed luggage depending on how many days your baggage was delayed, I assume that's how they came to the $850 amount.
