Never hurts to try! If they give you one can I have it? :haha:

G 05-04-2015 01:59 PM

Haha, I will try for sure. I have two chances to grab an extra one haha.. I really like the ANA cardigan too I wonder if I can snag that out...

v_tec 05-04-2015 02:12 PM

Damn, I want a Rimowa kit too :okay:

Harvey Specter 05-04-2015 02:38 PM

Bad news brah, ANA "upgraded" their amenity kits in first from Rimowa to Samsonite back in April.

It's time to pick up your game... "Airline of the year" Cathay Pacific.

bcrdukes 05-05-2015 12:59 PM

Just a few flights away from earning Altitude status. :hotbaby:

Got my SPG Gold a few weeks ago.

They actually "upgraded" from Agnes.B to some local HK shop in support of local company. :fuckthatshit:

For those looking for a trip to Europe in the summer and all the way into sept, AA/BA is having a sale on AA metal J for 1720USD for LAX-CDG (via PHL, ORD, JFK)

With AARP (anyone can sign up, it's U$16/year) discount with BA ($400 off J/F), the price drops to U$1320/p AI which is a very hot deal.

I was going to be in LAX anyway during summer to be with kid and wife. So it was perfect! Booked LAX-PHL-CDG (on US, just to experience their A330 J) and back on AA (new J) CDG-JFK-LAX. All flat seats except LAX-PHL. :D

Question to the Aeroplan rewards users on the board, have any of you been having issues with the Aeroplan website?

I am unable to book multi-city flights or return flights to asia (taipei specifically), but I am able to book two one ways. Issue with this is that I'm looking to do a multi-city flight this summer.

The new pouches don't even have a zipper on it anymore! at least for business class... But they finally got rid of that god-awful-who-the-hell-needs-this shoe horn

Find your trip leg by leg either on ap or United website, then call in and feed them to the agent. Not exactly sure how it works with ap, but I have always done this way with United for complex itinerary.

It appears that the AP site seems to be allowing me to book multi city flights now (thanks to G for confirming this).

^np.

On another note, anyone ever travel in F/J but with a family member/friend in Y? What are the chances of asking to let them sit with you ?

Slim to none unless the cabin is empty and you find a nice FA that might do you a favor.

if you are on CX... the chance is nil.

So my previous itinerary didnt workout through AP booking due to Asiana Blackout dates (July 16 - Aug 21). Managed to salvage the rewards trip, with a similar itinerary.

How much are you paying in fuel surcharges if you don't mind me asking

roastpuff 05-14-2015 12:38 AM

From NH First to AC Rouge Economy... ouch! No Premium Rouge or UA availability on your dates?

roastpuff 05-14-2015 07:51 AM

On the DFW PEK AA mistake fare flight. It's a bunch of flyertalk people here... Quite amusing.

Unfortunately no..Don't want a 6 hour layover in SEA for premium economy

CP.AR 05-15-2015 01:43 AM

Not going to lie... Air Canada Rouge is no good. I'm 5'7" and my knees can't help but nudge the person in front of me because the seat pitch is so tiny.

46_valentinor 05-16-2015 03:16 AM

Filmed this during my Asia trip when I was flying with Ana 2 weeks ago. First time doing a video whatsoever, hopefully its not too bad.
Enjoy!!

roastpuff 05-16-2015 03:06 PM

So I'm in HK at the moment, and when I woke up this morning ready to go to PEK the AA flight PEK-DFW had been delayed for 9 hours!

Called AA and was lucky enough to get re-routed HKG-DFW direct instead, took a few tries but eventually found an agent that would do that for me.
