Depending on which flight you were on between YVR and YYZ, 77W and 777HD are two different configurations. 77W does the YYZ-YVR-SYD service usually (AC034) while 777HD from YYZ (usually AC153) continues to HKG as AC007. The 77W aircraft is much more spacious than the 777HD lol |
Oh, shit. For sure 77W. :lol |
i flew the 787 from yyz-yvr in economy; aside from the AVOD, aren't the seats the same when compared to the 777HD? |

Looks like Cargolux has taken one of our old RR freighters https://farm1.staticflickr.com/565/2...ac338205_b.jpg picture sauce: https://www.flickr.com/photos/luxskater/22363478775 |
I recently flew from HND to SFO on a JAL 777 in the F cabin. I got the tickets using Avios points. Below are some of my pictures, I apologize for the shitty pictures, I missed pre boarding as I was too busy enjoying the F lounge so I just snapped a few quick pics with my phone. The flight departed after midnight and arrived at around 5pm in San Francisco. I had an important dinner to attend the night I arrived in SFO so I opted to sleep on the plane and only ended up eating Breakfast on the flight along with quite a few of the ice creams. The soft mattress pad was super comfortable to sleep on, and if it wasnt for the flight attendant waking me up for breakfast (which I had asked her to), I would've slept right up until landing. There was 6 seats in F, and only 4 of us. there was 4 FA + the Purser in F so it was 1 on 1 service the entire time. http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...ps5hrkyzbt.jpg http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...ps23hjip1w.jpg http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...pskgavaz8t.jpg http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...pskgavaz8t.jpg http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...psg1r9cvn3.jpg http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...psg1oqcm4e.jpg http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...pstwfqai5o.jpg http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...pszwt4iluq.jpg http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...psrauhoami.jpg http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...psrkygpyc1.jpg http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...psewnkbrmu.jpg http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...pswyoeuznv.jpg |
So I'm on my way to TPE again and I've got some miles to burn from US CC. The options now are both YVR-SFO-TPE in either EVA business class or United First (they both cost 80k miles) in 773 and 772 respectively. (The direct flight out of YVR is on old 747... absolutely hate it, and I'd rather just buy elite class instead) What would you guys do? I've flown UA GlobalFirst before, but it wasn't anything to write home except maybe the slightly better drink/food (which food can be a hit and miss). EVA OTOH gets me the J product similar to CX with the nice perk of the Rimowa kit. The only things I can think of are United F lounge at SFO (which isn't really better than EVA's lounge) and the wider (19.5 vs. 22) with turn-down service. |
BR, and give me the amenity kit :D |
BR hands down. Don't even think about it. The United Lounge is a POS any way. If you are *G, you can get into the lounge if you fly on EVA. |

I think for BR, I'm just going to take SEA-TPE one if I can find. It's still 773 (most of the date anyway), flight is 2hr shorter and arrives to TPE early morning instead of late night. |
Oh, if anybody cares, the 77W from YVR to HKG on AC isn't all that bad. You will survive and it wasn't even that bad. My only gripe are the arm rest buttons and the fact that AC crammed so many people into this plane, and there simply aren't enough lavatories to accommodate the number of passengers. |
booked premium economy for the lady and I on AC for our TPAC flights this December. From what I've heard it is good value for the money and some of the added perks that go along with these tickets makes it even more compelling. (oh and I like the idea of 125% mileage redemption) |

Follow-up for Hehe: I went to the United Club in SFO and LAX and it sucks. It is often packed and awfully outdated and tired. It can be a total zoo at times. I think what you can get at a soup kitchen is far better than what they offer at any United Club. |

But the Global First at SFO is usually quieter since it only grants access to those travelling in Global First or int'l first class on other *A members. Either way, I have my flight set. I was looking at start from SEA with EVA. Sadly, the day I wanted to travel is served by an old 744. So, SFO it is! I will post some pics after I'm done at the end of the month. |
Best lounge in SFO is the AMEX Centurion lounge by far. Been to the one in DFW, and the smaller one in SEA and it blows away any priority pass or US airline lounges. |

Also, today AA just announced a huge devaluation to their award chart. So, for people who still have AA miles to burn, do it before march 2016. |
It's been a rough week between SPG and AA. :QQ: |

My days of cashing in AAdvantage for CX F are over... :( |
I was also unimpressed with the Avion to Avios conversion promo dropping from 50 to 30%. |

Here's a picture from the lounge at DFW, will look for better pictures. https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...66&oe=56EE6DC6 Cool pictures all around the lounge, I liked this one; https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...9d&oe=56EFDD00 |
