How's their boarding? I hate airlines that can't control boarding procedure. and everyone just rush to the gate. Also I hate it when some people come on the plane with 3+ bags taking up all the overhead bin room. The gate person should not let this happen.

I have flown ANA few times to/from Japan and boarding has never been a problem. Ultimately, boarding is often less to do with the airline staff and more to do with your destination. If you've ever tried to board a plane to India, you'll know what I mean.

Teriyaki 03-31-2017 08:08 PM

^ Agreed. Never had a problem with carry on space on japanese airlines, nor had any issues with boarding them. I'm #teamboardlast anyways so it all really doesn't matter.

Looking for destinations that normally has a layover in Montreal. Any suggestions?

Teriyaki 04-11-2017 06:07 PM

A handful of Europe bound flights? Honestly can't think of any flight that is only ex-YUL that doesn't have an equivalent in YYZ.

Looks like you can fly to some off-beat destinations in Europe/Magreb/Middle East via YUL.

Which flight? Have you checked expertflyer? Depending on the airline, sometimes the availability is "ghost" inventory

I checked on AwardNexus too.

But trying to book end of June to after July 4th weekend.

YVR -> DCA
BOS -> YVR

I'm trying to book business for this long haul :okay:

Infiniti 04-18-2017 05:44 AM

Try flying in and out of EWR from YVR - AC uses the 787 on that route, which means you'd get Intl J instead of domestic J. Another option is to connect through YYZ.

That being said, summer's are tough to book. It might come down to the wire.

I'm actually trying to redeem aeroplan points and taking advantage of the multi city redemption. Flying out of YEG and hopefully stop at YUL for the layover before going somewhere else.

YUL-ZRH is also a possibility for minimal surcharges

Was browsing some updates on JAL flights and came across this.

JAL Group - PRESS RELEASES - The Third Collaboration Menu by JAL and Soup Stock Tokyo Introduced on Select International Routes

May just be me, but by god am I looking forward to this. Corn Chowder probably one of my all time favourite foods.

G 04-23-2017 10:52 PM

Lol, just booked BOS to YVR, market fare aeroplan at 11,900 points, cheaper than the 12,500 default mileage points. Tax was $7.50 which is weird lol

Acura604 05-02-2017 10:54 AM

ANA Airlines... .... ....

Rallydrv 05-02-2017 01:52 PM

^ what were they fighting about? shitty seats /vod/tv screens on ANA? oh wait. thats just YVR-HND route.

Mr.HappySilp 05-02-2017 02:52 PM

It could be related to seats or carry on. If you look at the video it seems like the overhead bins are open so maybe someone carry more than one carry on bag and is try removing some bags that's already in the overhead bin?

Or could be someone book a seat on the plane but when they got on someone else took it.

In either case the staff should have sorted the issue right away. It seems the FA wasn't very good in breaking up the fight but I don't blame her lol. Two big dudes fighting while she is tiny as hell. Should have bring out the teaser and tease both of them.

Air Canada cancelling Aeroplan partnership, doesn't change until 2020. Q & A in the link below:

I used my Avion a few months ago, I used them for a flight upgrade from Econ to Pre Econ to HK on Cathay Pacific. Cost me 30,000 pts. My first time using the points, so I'm not entirely sure if that was a good way to utilize these points or if there was alternatives to maximize your "return" on these points.

It won't allow you to convert say a cheap econ flight to a pre econ, the econ flight has to be a flex one with their accepted fare class if doing an upgrade.

You can also straight up redeem flights using their points, forgot how many points you need for that.

That's mostly my experience and knowledge to date.
