That's what I'd suggest, as long as you're sure there isn't a connection you could just unplug to re-route.

Otherwise you could probably carefully cut part of the grille, bend it, remove the plug, and bend it back.
I mean there has to be a way to do it, otherwise how the fuck do you get the bumper off? And aren't block heaters normally a dealer-installed option?

I know all Canadian model infiniti's ship from the factory with block heaters installed, but some manufacturers make it a dealer installed accessory.

I will call and ask tomorrow i think... But yes, the whole not possible to take the bumper off puzzles me a bit.

Looks like you can unplug it from the heater unit and re-route it. Just make sure the connector fits through the grill.

It's amazing they couldn't just design a grill opening big enough or a connector small enough...

My 325 was always fine in edmonton. It went trough the gnarliest snowstorms without a hitch. The M3 is a princess anyways. It will never be back there in the winter.

Regardless if it starts. Why be hard on your engine when you can take a second and plug it in knowing your coolant/block is at a decent temperature. The plug off my heater cord is shot right now, but otherwise my truck always gets plugged in at night regardless if it's 0 or -25, she just sounds smoother. Posted via RS Mobile |

Block heater (Coolant), oil pan heater, I had a heater pad under the tranny as well, and also a battery heater(Mind you it was a constant -45 at night for weeks at a time, I had my reasoning). So the few days it didn't get plugged in, in fairly mild weather it freaked out and had a temper-tantrum.

Those things are extremely fun, but you might as well look at it as an opportunity to try something different.

Did you do your own retrofit?
I wonder what your high-beams would like look on dark drives, eg: to Manning Park. Must be pretty nice.

They were on the car when I bought it. Driver side shroud fell off the first day I brought the car home. Took off both headlights, put the shroud back on and resealed them. I'll probably bake them open again sometime this month to clean them out and reseal them a third time while I wait for warmer weather to drive
