go back and look at the history of the crx and what its all about. tofu's is actually a clean version of the shit boxes that are usually found out there. mileage also doesn't matter as long as its been maintained properly.

If you actually go and look at the said crx. Most are beyond fucked either fuvked up body or decent body and fuck up engine transmission or interior. Mint example like tofu that didn't cost over 3-4g is incredibly rare.

hope tofu restore it to its original glory. Than sells it cheaply to me hahaahhahaah

I see a parts car out there for sale, a beaten white one with a B swap and a pretty tidy stock black one for 3k.

well of course I didnt pay 3k for mine. :lawl:

This is the 5th EF CRX Si I have looked at.... and im glad I've picked it up.

if you haven't already, can you start thread in the member's journal section? i still remember coveting these back when i was in high school (ugh i just carbon dated myself again). i wanted a silver special edition so bad... but it never happened :o

tofu1413 10-11-2014 01:50 PM

guess i will. I've put more work on this thing in the last 72 hours than I have on the Abarth over the last year and a half :lawl:

edit// there you go. I made one. For the guys that want to buy it, now you know how your future car may progress! :troll:

You do realize we're talking about an old economy car that Honda made a metric fuck ton of right? There's a reason they're only worth a couple grand :lawl:

Let's just stop arguing about the CRX, bottom line is that people still love the car whether it's for a winter beater or a fun little project car. Let them do what they want with it and stop derailing the thread lol. Less talk more pictures :)

I miss driving the Z qq

Posts a pic of latest whip. Members fighting over it should be a prized car or winter beater. Boy that escalated quickly.

One last point;

I don't have enough of a liking for Honda's to think of it as anything more than a good daily/winter car. Why do people get all butt hurt over it and as a response start with the "but you drive a v6 auto mustang" Yes, it is a daily winter beater you could say. Had i of bought a GT i would of needed to buy a 2nd car. Just wouldn't want to drive a 40k car all winter. 25k like the one i bought? Sure, same price as a mid size family sedan. Just this one has over 300 horsepower and rwd, and as we saw is quite an adequate track car. More or less kept up with TJ's FRS, which has power upgrades, and more importantly has a LOT of suspension work and was running BFG Rivals (A MUCH stickier tire than i was) in almost the same width.

My car? Bone stock suspension, generic summer tires in OEM width. So much for Mustang's not being able to corner.

TLDR: Like LOL yes, my car is a v6 auto, established this many times before, no need to get all butt hurt over my opinions.

spoon.ek9 10-11-2014 07:09 PM

let's just leave it at this, we all appreciate things in different manners. the key point is we still appreciate them. some people take offense to the car being called a winter beater just as you might take offense to people calling your car [insert comment here]. <- I don't feel like putting down your ride despite my personal preferences.

anyways, more pics, less bickering *everyone* :)

i dont get why you guys need winter beaters, i drive my corolla year round, all seasons on work equips and re11a on rotas... yeah i have it backwards but sizing sucks. the best time to enjoy your car is winter, really makes me appreciate the car and how it handles... usually looking forward to snow driving.

Winter beater... lol

A couple photos from the 2014 Element Owners Club Northwest Meet/Cruise I took part in today. Drove through some pretty gnarly weather around Snoqualmie and Mt. Si but in the end the thunderstorm cleared up and the sun came out!

Time to buy another, which will inevitably turn into another project! :ilied:

spoon.ek9 10-11-2014 09:52 PM

nah, cuz if i buy another one i'll end up looking for a rust free shell and transfer all of my parts there instead lol. which means i'll end up buying more shit for it to make it how I REALLY want it.. it's a vicious circle mang. y'all know how it goes..

tofu1413 10-11-2014 10:46 PM

Why winter beater? Because cost almost the same to buy snow tires for the abarth or Evo. Might as well buy something cheap with good tires and let it take care of the salt and sand.

Screw the crx. More pics of your whips please.

Jesus can we give this bashing a damn rest. This is a thread for sharing images of your vehicle for others to see. I'm not pointing any fingers, but can we all show some more respect for one another?

So tired of having go through this kind of crap in image-centered threads.

Most likely last pic of the car for the year; gonna stash it for winter within the next week or so. :(

westopher 10-12-2014 04:45 PM

My winter beater. I need to refinish my DS2s and get some winter tires before whistler opening weekend. Also the roof rack needs to come out of storage.
