#TBT #Throwback…tuesday…? I found these on the old PC this evening and figured I would share, consider this a most recent pic of my whip circa 2005-ish. In its time, this was a fairly special car
FWIW, I actually made that Mugen front bumper

Well. I picked up the car from Serial Nine. It was a hell of a journey, and they were patient with me and my ridiculous antics.
Here is the two pictures I will share until I manage to get something else:
With this ridiculous tire and rim setup most people have probably never seen anything that tucks so hard. lol
The roof line when dumped out is about 1" higher than my 100% bone stock CLA250.
It just looks ridiculous, the best comparison I can think, is like when you used to have those model cars with suspension on them as a kid, and you used to push on the roof, until you squished it. That's what it looks like. lol.

Pretty much what I was going for...

Spoiler!
Seriously though I took it really easy while driving home cause it was raining hard as hell, so I don't know how much sportiness I lost, but they do soak up the bumps and handle the crazy weight really well. The comfort level is definitely up from my H&R springs...
I regret selling them already, but they were only 20's, and I was looking for a change. Gonna stay with the OEM wheels with winter rubber until spring, in the meanwhile I am going to be deciding on new wheels (and saving money, lol).

To understand lowering an SUV you just have to try and understand why anyone modifies any vehicle, reasoning can range; from making it unique, to improving the looks, making it faster, or even just making something that everyone just stops and says "wtf, how does that work" or "cross that off the shit I never thought I would see list".
For me modding the FX went through stages, for awhile it was my daily, and I just improved it and kept it clean and OEM, hence the minor drop, OEM GTR wheels, and variety of minor exterior upgrades. The vehicle has since evolved, it is no longer my daily driver, I have much more subtle daily in my pickup truck, and the CLA when I so desire.
That left a certain amount of freedom on my direction with the FX, so I decided to just have some fun with it, and it has since become a ridiculous entity of its own. The engine, the wrap, the air suspension, etc. For any sane individual, this type of behaviour looks extremely stupid, and like a massive waste of money, but I'm just enjoying myself.
Spoiler!
I guess basically what i'm saying is, fuck what ya'll think...
