People are free to modify their cars as they like, but other people are just as free to dislike it. Every single car will have people that like it and don't like it. If you can't handle that take the bus.

:okay:

Underscore, it has nothing to do with liking vs disliking something. I think slamming a car is stupid- i can still respect a car that is slammed because its owner loves it. Just like how someone who spends his weekend in the bush might look at someone with a slightly lowered car and think it's stupid, they still understand and respect it.

belaud 12-15-2014 09:29 PM

He's saying life isn't all gravy. If you can't take criticism, you should stay in your cave.

Yes Kalson, I'll buy better coils this year, gawd.

Roll up in a Buick and it's a whole new level :fuckyea:

I can respect physical work that is well done regardless of whether I like the style, however I won't respect a car that is poorly done just because the owner likes it. With simpler cosmetic mods (like stickers) it comes down to personal tastes, and if someone can't handle somebody not agreeing with their tastes then they should take the bus.

This same stuff applies to my cars, for example I put bright red mudflaps on my GTFour. I know that there's no way in hell everyone here will like that look (some of my friends and family sure don't) and I fully expect at least some of you think they look terrible. IMO it's better to tell people straight up you don't like something and hear a variety of opinions than to live in some bs fantasy land where people only say nice things.

well, i never specifically asked why you did it and went all panties up in a notch.. i was honestly just stating my opinion by stating that it looks a little out of place... I really love how the word "hate" gets tossed around so easily.. state your conservative opinion and all the sudden you become a madddd haterrr yoo

p.s: i liked your car better when it was on te37s and un-cut front bumper

true story

Akinari 12-16-2014 12:25 AM

I drive a lowered 4spd automatic 2WD Honda Element with 273,000kms with bushings and various suspension bits so worn it sounds like the car is going to fall apart and a loud exhaust. I also have real deal R32 GT-R wheels on my Element (with centrecaps) and during my time shopping for a set before obtaining these, there were legitimately people who did not want to sell the wheels to me after finding out what car the wheels were going on.

Trust me, I'm positively sure if given a choice, RS would be all over J.C's GenCoupe rather than my Element

It's gotten to a point where I take all the hate towards my car and turn it into jokes, and it motivates me even further to stand out with a unique platform. People just need to learn how to ignore the hate and keep doing what they love.

Besides, I've seen J.C's GenCoupe in person, the first or second day after he picked it up, and a couple months later after a few mods. It's a sick looking car, and it's no different as it is now.

tbh i liked my car more in the previous state too, kinda became a thing where you care too much and start messing with it :/

From a safety standpoint you should probably fix your suspension before anything else.

Lol, J.C. car seems minor compared to some people driving around town. Fucking people with stickers all over their windshield, banners showing their 'club'. Liveries like they are driving 'race' cars.

All to be instagram famous.

this post is awesome. :fuckyea:

The automotive scene is a boring fucking place if people don't step out of their boundaries to try something new. Who knows, trying something different inspire others to try something new as well. Let's all learn to respect each other and their preferences. We all share a common bond, cars just bring us all together so we shouldn't let our own convictions and opinions upset that fine balance.

true enough, but it mostly just leads to everyone copying everyone else and butchering their original idea.

westopher 12-16-2014 10:08 AM

Ugh. It happens every 10 pages. Someone does something someone dislikes, person makes comment, the term "hating" gets thrown in the mix, voice of reason comes in and says its the internet so don't worry, then someone tries to out-reason the voice of reason by an existential view of how automotive personalities being different makes the world go round.
See you guys on page 165.:toot:
