When I did my first one at 350km the oil came out pretty green I just hit 1100 and probably gonna do my 2nd one this week |
I'm at 6 month/5000km. I'm just doing it by the book |
Finally took some decent shots of the 240z after her first wash. |
^^nice. Of all the garaged cars that hit the road in the summertime I enjoy the classic Japanese offerings the most  |

Realistically at the rate you are going you will have changed your oil 5 times before the first scheduled oil change. Pretty sure you didnt do much to help yourself. Quote:
Looks super sick though, love the colour. |
^ I do my first oil change at 6,000KM's, then every 6-7k after that. I think the ones who change at 500km, 1000km, etc etc are doing more harm then good. |
Wow all the pictures look even more fucked up now. Everyone feel free to chime in, in this thread: http://www.revscene.net/forums/69489...ter-you-4.html I know I am not imagining this BS with the pictures over the past three weeks, but Skinny continues to just deny that there is a problem, while he keeps changing stuff behind the scenes in an attempt to fix the problem. |
Pictures look like shit now. My iPhone 5 pics used to look acceptable, now they look like they were taken with a potato. A rotten potato, and DSLR pics look like iPhone pics... |

If the manufacturer states every 6000, then change it again at 6000 and then 12000 and so on and so forth. The reason changing it one extra time during break in isn't a bad idea is because your oil does go through a lot more wear during the first little bit of an engines life. After that though, pick your poison; conventional or synthetic, set a schedule and stick to it. |

Realistically the car would've had 2 oil changes by 5000km and 5-6 by 20,000kms not as dramatic as you're making it out to be. Not sure when I should switch to synthetic though, I've been running semi-synthetic since that's what it comes with from factory. Lol someone on the FiestaST forum brought up a good point which is the engines not worth babying since they're $3200 USD brand new :P |
I brought my own synthetic with me to the dealer yesterday and asked them to use it. We'll see tomorrow when i pick it up if they used it |
