Actors/Actress that will always be in your good books?
I started an opposite thread 2 years ago with Most Terrible Actors, which garnered some decent discussion. I'm hoping to go the other way around this time.
So the question is:
Which actor or actress will always be in your good books, which you will continue to follow their work no matter what film they find themselves in nowadays; and if possible, name that film that won you over.
Bonus for lesser known names. What I'm hoping to get out of this is that I (or others) get to dig up said movies; maybe give said actor or film a chance; and perhaps pay a little more attention at other great actors (that is currently not on my, or others' radar).
Of course, I'll start:
1) Eddie Redmayne - (Pillars of the Earth) This guy plays creepy characters now such as the ones in Savage Grace, Hick, Black Death, but will forever be in my good books because of his work at Pillars.
2) Andrew Garfield - (Boy A) Just became a big name now but I was aware of his work back with Boy A
Yeah, the scene between him and Ray Liotta in the restaurant has always been one of my favs. Such a great actor it's too bad he disappeared from films.
Tom hanks
Leo DiCaprio
(Catch me if you can..both actors),but I love all their movies
Don Cheadle (Hotel Rwanda, crash)
johnny depp (blow..possibly my favorite movie if I had to choose one) Posted via RS Mobile
Arnold obviously for me.. inspiration and starred in INSANELY GOOD MOVIES.. terminator, T2, last action hero, etc..
I grew up with him as a kid and still idolize him.. such a fan boy haha
Nicholas Cage - Adaptation and Matchstick Men
Steve Buscemi - Reservoir and Boardwalk
Denzel - Man on Fire, Crimson Tide, Training Day
Leonardo
Kevin Spacey
Hanks

T Hanks - Turner & Hooch
Joseph Gordon-Levitt - 500 Days of Summer
Will Ferrell - Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
Jackie Chan - Rumble in the Bronx
and Sam Rockwell - Choke
I went up to a cute chick and asked her if she'd let me take a photo of her for $30 she slapped me, she said to me that "I AIN'T A WHORE!"
But other than that I have seen every car on display in DTP just by cruising about in Richmond, thank you very much for collecting them together and get someone to sing a cover for "fuck you".
OH FUCK YOU OH OH OOOOH~

Pretty much any movie these guys are in...I'm there. Movies listed are what made me fall for them even more.
Tom Hanks: You Got Mail, Forrest Gump, although I had this huge sense of creepiness from him in Splash when the chick says she's taking a bath (but really her tail came back and was figuring out how to change back her legs) and he goes "oh..can I join you?" or something.
Richard Gere: Pretty Woman, Unfaithful (felt SO bad for him)
Denzel Washington: Fallen.
Jamie Foxx
Drew Barrymore (sorry..I just love her)

Hahaha, I was hoping for some guilty pleasures to come out as well.
I'll try to match. As for mine:
Nicolas Cage: (Face Off) I know he gets a lot of hate around here but his earlier work will always have me watching whatever he puts out. To me the guy is sooooo good that even when he's bad, it's still entertaining in some way or another. lol.
John Cleese - all the Monty Python flicks
Christopher Walken - The King of New York (lots of actors became famous from this movie)
Bill Murray - Caddyshack and many more that followed
Rene Russo - Major League
Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio for sure, I don't care what they are selling - I'm buying! I will probably get flamed for this but I enjoy Daniel Craig, I think he's a good Bond, but I thought he did a really good job in Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
