| Vehicle Impound Q
I was slapped with an excessive speed today in the work truck, which included a 7 day impound, but was told by the officer that my boss could get it out early, because it's a work vehicle. This leads me to my question, What is the likelihood of the RCMP releasing the truck to him early, and what do they usually require for an early release of company vehicles?
Thanks for any, and all assistance |

It is up to ICBC to have the car released early, and you will need your work (RO) to apply for it. All of that info should be on the Vehicle Impoundment form which you were served.

In your experience, what is the likelihood of ICBC accepting early release in this kind of situation?

The more you ask people and think about it the longer the truck stays in impound. Print/fill the form out, go visit your boss, get his signature and send it off. Is it really that complicated?

Obviously the best thing to do delay this by asking on RS hoping for a meaningful answer, rather than reading the back of the ticket like the officer most likely instructed you to do.
Likelihood doesn't matter in this situation because you haven't started the process yet.
