Boring. Looks like Cary Fukunaga took all the good stuff with him. This was such a standard cop story it could've been an episode of CSI. We wanted something that was HBO quality.
And filmmaking was so sloppy all year. So much...random shots stitched with voice over or that chick that sings in the bar. C'mon...that's just lazy.

This whole season was so pointless. Random dude on the film set turns out to be the birdman killer lol and the mastermind behind all the backstabbing (essentially the main villian) is mayor Chessanni's son who only had like 5 mins of total screen time; what the fuck lol. They also downplayed the whole thing with Colin Ferrell killing the wrong guy.
Vince Vaughn: ya... Blake set you up
Colin Ferrell: oh...
(change scene)
Pizzolatto could've made a plot twist where it turns out Blake was actually the guy that raped his wife (he has fucking red hair too). Instead they make it so Colin Ferrell's ginger kid is his real son? how the fuck does that even work? This season killed the fucking show, only episode one was good.

WTF did I just watch? It definitely had the potential to be something great but seem to fall short all over the place. Awkward moments and conversations, dumb long drawn out scenes that were pointless, terrible character interactions, etc.
I feel annoyed with the show in it's entirety.
