I'm praying that someone comes out of nowhere to win the season because of the last race being worth double points. I'd laugh my ass off because that rule is so fucking stupid, it deserves to totally fuck F1 for this year.

Wow, this was one of the very few Bahrain races that I actually enjoyed! Great racing by HAM and ROS.

The team battles were really good, ROS/HAM, VET/RIC and PER/HUL. I honestly thought it was gonna end in tears for the Mercedes boys :

The Mercedes team is in a class of their own though, I hope RBR or McLaren start catching up ASAP. 2 weeks til China!

Rosberg should have tried something different to go around Hamilton than always going for the outside of turn 3. After the 4th time it didn't work, it was never going to work.
And the fact that Rosberg yeilded every time he tried, pretty much tells the world that he's going to be Hamilton's bitch for the rest of the season.

Same situation 20 years ago, Senna would never have yeilded to Prost.

You forgot to mention that Senna and Prost weren't karting buddies and friends either

if the roles were switched i doubt Hamilton would give a fuck

it was nice to see rosberg joyous after the race instead of a debbie downer like hamilton when he loses

Best F1 race in a long time!!

Really nice to see Rosberg and Hamilton have a good relationship. So rare in F1.

I don't care if Mercedes runs away with the championship, only as long as they let their drivers duke it out like this all the time. Thumbs up to them for letting them race.

Gene Haas (owner of Haas CNC, and Indy team) got his F1 team too!

https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/...01374--f1.html

Formula 1 - Haas Formula One entry accepted by FIA
A new Formula One entry proposed by NASCAR team owner Gene Haas was accepted by the sport's governing body on Friday and another application made by former F1 team principal Colin Kolles is also under consideration.
Reuters – Fri, Apr 11, 2014 20:27 BST

"In close consultation with the CRH (commercial rights holder), the FIA has accepted the candidature of Haas Formula LLC and are in the process of conducting further investigations for Forza Rossa," the International Automobile Federation said in a statement.

No further details were given but an FIA spokesman confirmed that former Jordan, Midland, Spyker, Force India and HRT principal Kolles was behind Forza Rossa with Romanian partners.

The FIA also announced after a meeting of its world motor sports council in Marrakech, Morocco that there would be a meeting of all the teams on May 1 to "clarify the means to achieve a substantial F1 team cost reduction".

FIA president Jean Todt told reporters at the Bahrain Grand Prix last weekend that plans to impose a cost cap in 2015 had been abandoned and measures would have to come through regulation changes instead.

The governing body said a study into the noise of the new V6 turbo hybrid engines, which critics and fans have said is not loud enough, was under way with preliminary results expected shortly.

The FIA did not say when the proposed new teams were planning on entering.

Last December, the FIA called for expressions of interest from potential new entries wanting to compete from 2015 or 2016, and set a January deadline. There are currently 11 teams on the starting grid.

Full applications had to be submitted by Feb. 10 and a decision was supposed to have been taken by Feb. 28.

Formula One's commercial supremo Bernie Ecclestone, representing rights holders CVC, told reporters in Manama that he was happy to have a couple more teams.

"Whether they'll make it or not is another story," he said.

Formula One last admitted new teams in 2010, with a U.S. outfit initially accepted but later removed from the entry list when it became apparent they were not in a position to race.

That failed team was led by Ken Anderson, a former technical director of Haas CNC Racing which was the previous name of Stewart-Haas.

Of the three 2010 newcomers, Caterham and Marussia are still competing but have yet to score a point and there are no guarantees all the current 11 will be around next year.

Tens of teams have come and gone since the championship started in 1950 and there have been regular fears expressed about the financial state of some of those currently on the starting grid.

Sauber and Lotus had financial problems last season which threatened their futures, and Caterham were warned before the start of the season by Malaysian owner Tony Fernandes that they needed to raise their game.

Honda to focus on Mclaren come 2015

Formula 1 - Honda to focus on McLaren in 2015
Honda has no plans to supply any other team but McLaren when it returns to Formula One as an engine supplier next season, the Japanese carmaker said on Saturday.
5 hours ago Reuters

"For 2015 McLaren is our only customer," Honda's chief officer of motorsport Yasuhisa Arai told reporters ahead of Sunday's Chinese Grand Prix.

"I don't think about the future because we want to concentrate on next season. Of course we want to have good results next season and see the results from other manufacturers.

"If teams want to use our engine or power unit we can deliver after year 2016 but right now there are no plans," he added.

Honda's previous involvement in Formula One ended after the 2008 season when the global financial crisis and a lack of results on the track prompted the company to withdraw.

The carmaker's team became Brawn GP for 2009 and won the drivers' and constructors' championships with Jenson Button, now at McLaren, and Mercedes engines.

Honda has been tempted back as an engine supplier thanks to the move to adopt more efficient hybrid technology which can be carried over to road cars.

"One of the major reasons for our decision was the new regulation introduced this year," said Arai.

Honda's decision to team up with McLaren, in the final year of using Mercedes engines, will revive one of Formula One's most successful partnerships.

The combination yielded multiple titles in their time together between 1988 and 1992 with late triple world champion Ayrton Senna and four-times world champion Alain Prost behind the wheel.
