Toyota's UK arm just picked itself a whole bouquet of oopsie daisies.
Toyota UK accidently oversold its allotment of special-edition Supras. Of the 90 or so cars destined for Europe, the UK was set to receive 24 of them. Only trouble is, an apparent computer glitch allowed more than 24 people to put down £1,000 (about $1,300) to reserve one.
The automaker sent out an apology letter to the owners who got shafted. "As a result of this demand, we experienced a technical failure in our order system which allowed orders to be accepted in excess of the available number of vehicles that were actually available," the letter reads. "Please accept our sincere apologies for the frustration and disappointment this will cause you." You can read the letter in full on the SupraMKV forum.
For what it's worth, Toyota is trying to make good on giving these buyers something. Those on the bad end of the deal can have their deposit refunded and their order canceled. They could also convert their reservation to a normal Supra Pro, the highest UK trim on offer, receiving a complimentary two-year service plan and an invite to a Toyota Gazoo Motorsport event in the future.

Years and years of waiting and dreaming and we get a Z4. If the comments from bmw owners are anything to go by, don’t keep it more than 5 years for reliability reasons. What an insult to the nameplate.
Fuck Aiko Toyoda. This dumb ass was suppose to save the brand and reinvigorate the Toyota of the 90's. Instead we get a guy who's willing to jump into bed with any other automaker to make a quick buck or two.
it's all about platform/development cost sharing these days. no more individualism and its all becoming homogenous. everyone is in bed with each other to save money and make a quick buck.

can't decide if they should've kept the name plate dead or this whole jazz of the Supra being a Z4 ...

pretty sure i already said this; sports car platforms are low volume loss leaders, no mainstream automakers has the R&D money to make them without pooling resources with other brands in the 21st century...the only exception seems to be GM with the Corvette

I was at Toyota Canada Headquarters last week for work and saw the new Supra. This is a prototype model, I think perhaps one of the only ones in Canada right now. 52771823_848748678851013_2574735316590002176_n.jpg
anyone remember the alfa Nissan car back in the 80s, everyone was hoping for Alfa styling and Nissan reliablity.............but it went they other way around lol
I went up to a cute chick and asked her if she'd let me take a photo of her for $30 she slapped me, she said to me that "I AIN'T A WHORE!"
But other than that I have seen every car on display in DTP just by cruising about in Richmond, thank you very much for collecting them together and get someone to sing a cover for "fuck you".
OH FUCK YOU OH OH OOOOH~

Now that, is probably the most supra, supra i've seen yet. All the BMW parts from suspension, engine components to interior panels have been gutted and replaced. All they need to do is slap a supra wing on there.
