| Good place for wheel repair?
Long story short: I need to get one of my wheels repaired.
The aluminum lip on my iForged wheel is bent quite badly, the bend is about 4 inches long.
Any places you guys recommend? I heard some good things about panthers wheel repair, any of you have experiences with them?

one of my wheels was curbed by a lot boy at the dealership when i brought it in for work last week. the dealer sent the wheel to one repair place and they messed it up because they could not match the paint. so now the dealer has given it to western wheelcraft to redo all over again... here's hoping

Greens
Panther
Wheelfixit.
Got mine repaired at wheelfixit.
Heard good things and their pricing was the most competitive.
My wheels came out great.
Been recommending them to friends and they also have only good things to say.
Only con is that it's a bit of a drive unless you live in slurrey.

the bodyshop got my wheel back from western wheelcraft. they did a very minimal repair job on it most likely because the bodyshop wasn't going to pay. the repair area is decent enough, but there is some noticable orange peel. one of the spokes next to the damaged area had a rock chip in it and they just painted over it so it looks like i have a divot in the finish... better than bare aluminum i guess :shrug

Thanks for your suggestions guys.
I went with Greens since it's the closest to me.
Got quoted $800 to straighten out 2 wheels, refinish all 4, and repaint all 4 semi-gloss black. Seemed like a really good deal.

that seems really pricey. How bad is the damage?
I'm seriously thinking on downgrading from my 16's to 15's since the price of new aftermarket wheels is cheaper or equal to the price of repairing. Also 15's are cheaper for tires, and I'd get slightly better mileage and slightly less road noise

The quoted $800 above seems about right. When I was looking things up, it costs $100+/wh to straighten it out and ~$150/wh for refinishing/paint.
Of course, those prices are dependent of wheel size.
The only reasons to (pay someone to)** refinish wheels would be:
- discontinued wheels
- value of the wheel = 2x refinish price

My wheels are 19" with 225/40's on the front and 265/35's on the rear both with a bit of stretch fit.
I think it was a pretty good deal

i am adding my vote for greens as well for wheel repair/refinishing.
i had paint issues with my oem wheels and i claimed under warranty. the dealer sent them to greens to get refinished. my wheels have a black base with a silver tinted clear on top, so not a straightforward refinish. what i got back was even better than when they were new. but the bill was almost $800

so which one of these places has a normal price point, I just got one of my wheels done at Wheel Fix it and they charged me $125... the wheel was rashed almost all around the whole lip, and it was a 3 piece wheel that needed to be taken apart and resealed. So I think $125 for that work is a proper price.
I been to Nu Brite before they wanted something like $240 before taxes for just one wheel which is a joke of a price
