just watched this animation movie last night and it was great! definitely more bad ass than the usual justice league shows. Batman however was a little more "soft" than his usual persona. A must watch!
why does it seem really familiar like i've watched it before?
Yes they have done a darkseid story before with supergirl. It seems like this doesnt really connect with Justice league series and the previous darkseid story because in this story, there is no justice league team yet and neither do they know one another, and it is the first time they meet darkseid. With the supergirl story; superman, batman, wonderwoman knew each other already.
Wow, it's like powerpuff girls turned teen titan...
There's been a shortage of good animation lately. I really hope they don't mess up the new reboot coming out. Hopefully they'll pick up where they left off.
The only other good animation out right now is Legend of Korra, and the season ended a couple months ago.
I liked this one for the action, but I think this was the "B" team rather than the usual crew that does the WB animated movies. I almost wrote it off since no Kevin Conroy (doubt he will do as many Batman roles in the future).
I am too familiar with the WB animation. I have trouble accepting anything else. All these different animation is another reboot, getting sick of reboots.

To me it felt like the characters had all switched personalities. GL was the wise ass (normally it's Flash), Batman was kind of a wimp, Supes was a badass, Diana made zero sense and was way too kiddish for my liking. I did however really enjoy Cyborg's character. At least it didn't have Aquaman though?

The reason this doesn't seem to connect to any of the previous JL movies or shows is because it's based on The new 52 reboot of DC comics back in 2011.
This movie is pretty much the first handful of issues in the new 52 Justice League and the members sporting their new outfits (batman and superman with no tights)
I don't like how they made Green Lantern an idiot. Hal Jordan is charming and jokes a lot but he's not an idiot when it comes to tactics and fighting. Especially since he's supposed to be an established member of the GL Corp. already.
Superman was just a douchebag. Posted via RS Mobile
