Soarer drivers i need help! I have had my soarer for about a month now and I love it! but off course driving a RHD kinda brings attention from the police :(. I got a box 2 VI because my steering wheel is after market and "Doesnt look like stock size" So im in need of someone to help me out by measuring there STOCK soarer steering wheel from top to bottom to see of mine is anywhere close! I've tried everywhere to find the size but i cant! -cheers |
i am sure someone has a stock one on here you could borrow for the day. |
I looked it up, youre allowed to have an after market steering wheel but it has to be close to the OEM size. My wheel is 36cm |
Just measured my 1997 sc300 steering wheel, its 15.25 inchs (38cm) should be the same |
Wow never heard of someone getting a VI for smaller steering wheel. Which wheel do you have? |
Thanks for the heads up, im looking for a soarer or sc400 too! To SC owners: How bad is the gas consumpion being a V8? 90/week? if daily driven? Is it worth going down to the states? thanks! |
Yea the police officer gave me a VI for what he thought was a smaller wheel. My wheel is 36cm, I talked to a place where i will be getting my VI done and he said the cop was just being an asshole. I told the shop my wheel size and stock size and he laughed and said I shouldn't even be here.... The cop also nailed me for having metal pedals... and that is legal. so a waste of 100$! I will be filing a complaint to the RCMP. |
i have a stock wheel in my soarer, maybe this will help http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i2...216_205018.jpg |
If skyline 32 is still wondering. Gas consumption isn't the worst, $70 every 1.5-2 weeks for premium across the border. Only fill up Shell 92 though. I drive a 400 though, not sure how it would be on a 1JZ |

let me guess, u got the vi in richmond? cops there are a bunch of goofs, they dont really know much about what's legal and what's not and they will pretty much give u a vi and anything they see that is not stock will be "illegal" |
