I'm not sure about the placement of the rear emblem. It looks awkward.

It's still light years better looking than the god awful W221.

That said, I don't think I've ever thought the S-Class was a beautiful looking car. Well made and chock-full of technology, yes... but beautifully sculptured? No.

i wonder how this will be priced, because iirc, the cl 63amg was the most expensive car in the mercedes line up. and if they follow suit with the pricing, i can sort of imagine the amg variant to be a lot sportier than previous and attempt to compete with the conti gt and aston martin vanquish

The W221 looked pretty good to me, much better then the previous gens.

I'm pretty sure either the CL65 or G65 were their most expensive road cars.

...not impressed just as generic as the new Porshe. It's not bad but it's nothing the older models didn't have for style.

Wonder if the S class deprecation is going to be as bad as the deprecation on the CL. I do like the S63 couple but like someone posted above, I'd rather get a Bentley for the money this car will cost.

Oh my. I'd love the S Coupe instead. In spite of the Bentley brand having more "cachet", I find that the S Coupe is more rare and a sight to behold. It helps that Mercedes is by far the technological tour de force in the industry.

I do really enjoy Rolls Royce/Bentley but personally, I value technology far above the material quality a Bentley can offer.
