curious to know what the insurance is like on the grom and ruckus as well... i still remember back in the day when i used to have a yamaha R1 insurance on that thing was more than what i paid for coverage on my car :o

The 4 rate classes for motorcycles are:

311 (111–400 cc)
312 (401–750 cc)
313 (751–1150 cc)
314 (over 1150 cc)

the insurance on Grom is the same as anything lower than 400cc, so same as a ninja 300, CBR250 etc. anything under 110 cc falls into a flat rate. My 40% discount don't apply on my 50cc at all, but not too sure if people carrying surcharge.

Ruckus was $6 to fill on premium. Was a 1 gallon tank and I'd get about 100km per tank. Insurance was so cheap it was a joke. Like 15-20 a month

$30/month for insurance(Full coverage) & $5.00-$7.00/200km for Gas.

2 Stroke motors get about 100km/tank.

How do you guys wave at other motorcycles? I noticed that people do it differently.

It`s usually the 2nd one you posted that people use to acknowledge other motorcyclists. I know some people that wave to scooters, but its a pretty seldom thing.

Even a lot of riders around here tend to only do it to people within their respective riding communities. For example you`ll find the Harley guys on cruisers don`t normally wave to sport bike guys. Not to say there is none, because I have had a few in my experience.

The culture`s definitely different once you go South of the border though or even outside Vancouver.

Amt shop does custom frame and ruckus parts http://www.amtmachineshop.com/..overall ruckus are nice to ride, i get to much attention, since it's really unique vehicle..pro is endless mods on it, swap engine, attractive little scooter, super awesome on gas 2L/100KM..there is nothing i can say for con but little slow as it's a four stroke..
