In fact, it was the Chinese who initiated the One:1 concept. "It was actually our Chinese distributor in Beijing who told us he had a group of customers who want a track car," Petre tells us. "They had every other kind of car, but they wanted a Koenigsegg track car."
I went up to a cute chick and asked her if she'd let me take a photo of her for $30 she slapped me, she said to me that "I AIN'T A WHORE!"
But other than that I have seen every car on display in DTP just by cruising about in Richmond, thank you very much for collecting them together and get someone to sing a cover for "fuck you".
OH FUCK YOU OH OH OOOOH~

Drive did an Inside Koenigsegg before and it was a great mini series. They're doing it again this time with one of the craziest cars to come out in years. Enjoy.
Mclaren P1, Porsche 918, Koenigsegg One, Ferrari La Ferrari La Ferrari Ferrari. Such amazing cars coming out now. I'd kill for any one of those. I love all the technology that is upping the game.

Thanks for that high school quality post Multicartual, great response!
Personally, I love seeing cars like this that push the boundaries at any cost! Looking forward to see some real driving numbers from this thing! Amazing craftsmanship!

I don't even want this car to be compared to the Venom.
The cars aren't even close to being on a similar level. The One:1 is a ground-up, entirely in-house developed, originally designed car with technological innovation poured into it. The one:1 is stiff competition for other hyper car firms, its level of refinement and technology equals and surpasses them in many aspects.
But the Venom? It has an LSX engine, something designed, and manufactured by GM. Its transmission is (according to wiki) designed and manufactured by Ricardo. The brakes have big Brembo logos on them. The exterior body shape was drawn by Lotus. What on that car is actually originally engineered and manufactured (even to order) by them?
The level of knowledge required, the development of new technology and ideas, and originality of Koenigsegg, McLaren, Ferrari's hypercars make them so much more significant and admirable

The sad fact is that non of these cars will ever see a raceway because of how limited it is. Why develop such a powerful car that no one will use to it's full potential? When the hell is koenigsegg gonna start using all this technology for racing? Or is there focus to simply make cars works of art? Either way, this car is unreal.

They actually did try to enter racing with the CCGT but by the time the car was completed, the rules changed (I believe it was for the FIA GT1 series) so the car was never allowed to race.
But I think that their car technology will eventually trickle down to others and even mainstream cars. For example, they are working on a sping-less overhead valve system for engines and they are 3D printing titanium components and they did develop technology to allow a pump gas engine to develop 1300+ hp from a 5.0L twin-turbo V8 and still offer a 3 year warranty.
So just because it's not racing doesn't mean it's not advancing technology for all cars. But I agree with you, it would be sweet to see the One:1 or a reincarnation of the CCGT go racing.
