^What unit are you using? Your coil might be dead.
I've been using the Arctic tank with no problems

I have a Protank 3, but this current coil is only a week or two old. My battery has a resistance check, and it's reading okay, but still doesn't explain the shit taste and browned juice.

If you use juice with sweeteners, the coil will gunk up faster with a black coating. Some offenders include The Milk Man, Dr. Fog's Honey and Milk. You can expect to change your coils every 3-5 days.

Juice with little or no sweeteners like Flavies Vivian, Chupatits and G-Sauce will be gentler on your coils, expect maybe 1.5-2 weeks.

^ This

Most juices nowadays will gunk up your coils faster and faster, because companies are loading their juices with more sweeteners and more flavor and more vg.. (The small tanks came out when juices only used 3-10% flavoring and 50-60%pg... now most juices are up to 20%+ flavor/sweetener and 60-100%vg). With RDA's and such, it's not that big a deal. But with smaller tanks, you may want to stick to the lighter single flavor juices for maximum coil life.. or at the very least, stick to juices with 50%pg.

However 1-2 weeks seems pretty normal for a small tank coil..

Quick question for you folks who use sub ohm tanks. What is your nicotine level at? I purchased some 6MG for my Subox Kit and I think it may too much after people keep saying lower the nicotine level. I vape on 6MG at the moment on my nautilus mini but I chain vape quite a bit.

Try that 6mg out and see if you like it. You could always lower the wattage on the subox, use the 1ohm coil, or use the rebuildable deck to build a 1.6ohm/1.8ohm coil like your nautilus.

If you don't want to throw away the juice you could always cut it with some VG. The flavor will be watered down though.

You can even get it at walmart or any pharmacy. a lot of people who make their own juice use it.
though cutting down with just vg may not be what you're looking for. I think theoretically you want to cut down with a 0mg nicotine version of the juice. When you add plain vg, and if you add enough to a certain threshold, it makes your whole bottle of juice have a pure-vg ish taste... and take it from me. it doesn't taste good

but if you're just adding a bit, you can give it a try- since it's only like $4 for 100ml

i love my proveri but its quite top heavy with my nautilus (started using bcc coils and i still freakin love this thing)

looking to get a rdna 40 from vaporshark but i am not into sub ohm ing or rather i don't know much about it i just want it to work with my nautilus and not have to buy any of the copper temperature sensing coil.

does anybody know?

Just picked up the evic-vt from Get Vaped and holy shit is this thing unreal.
The temp control basically eliminates dry hits. You can pull on it as hard and as long as you want and it doesn't fight back whatsoever. Definitely a game changer. Interested to see what Kanger and eLeaf comes out with to compete.

Rdna40 seems overkill/pricey if you just want to rock your nautilus mini as you won't be using most of the 40 watts or the temp control.

There are lots of newer/cheaper mini boxes out there.
  • Innokin Coolfire 4(never used one but they're nice)
  • Kangertech Subox(if you can get just the mod as these are usually sold as tank/mod sets)
  • Eleaf IStick 20/30/40 watt versions(decentish mods, not the greatest track record for build quality though)

These are just 3 that I can remember. All cheaper than the rdna40(unless you can get one for cheap) and should work with the nautilus mini.

I like the looks and size of the coolfire. Innokin also makes some good quality mods.

If you're looking for a mod to subohm with in the future stay away from the Eleaf ISticks as they tend to have problems doing the whole subohm thing.

I may be selling my iStick TC40W so that's something you can consider. It's 40W, has temperature control and much cheaper than the Vapor Shark RDNA 40.

Ditched my iTaste for a full kit Kanger Subox. I didn't think that sub-ohm would hit so hard at 5mg. And I'm nowhere even close to making 40W usable, shit burns like a mother.

I got it for 90 at a new-ish vape place in Surrey across from Guildford Mall. Came with a free juice as well since it's a "Starter Kit", but it comes with rebuildable stuff. Is there a good tutorial available if I want to spend a weekend messing with it?

Just hit up any of the vape shops; the staff should be willing to help you out and teach you some things. It's how I learned to build coils and stuff, lol.

^ i just bought one. no it didn't come with a battery. with battery its $102 + tax. still pretty reasonable imo, considering you get a 10ml bottle of juice with your purchase. the store is called The Vapory.

Hey guys, looking into getting a better vape to help me kick my habit of smoking during work (and eventually all together... but we'll see how that goes lol). Had a dinky whatever evod one that one of my work friends gave us but it's a bit too small for me and doesn't hit enough. My friend just got a subox and I'm looking into getting one too, but they're about $100 or so over here for the starter kit. Anyone have any experiences with this or know of any alternatives that I could look at? Pretty much just want to get one that will give me more of a throat hit and blow more smoke out, don't mind spending the $100 but it'd be cool if there were alternatives that cost maybe $50 or so. I know close to nothing about vapes so any suggestions would be great
