Have you actually looked at your usage tho? I'd watch it for a few months and see if you can bump it down and save a bit.

The more I look at it, Wind is fantastic. $40 unlimited everything with no contract. Only downside is I can't go back to iphone with Wind
I use less than 400MB a month @@ There is like wifi everywhere, Work, home, restaurant, coffee shops..... pretty much the only time I use data is when I am on the go.

ok.. maybe I'm the outlier here lol. I'm home or at work 90% of the time too but I somehow get close/little over 1gb every month. Even without going on IG/Youtube unless I'm on wifi.

I check my usage all the time. Chrome, android os, play store, yahoo sports and whatsapp are my biggest data hogs.

yeah 5gb @ $35 (cheapest plan with unlimited data)

& + $10 a month for 10gb total

Rogers is $110 a month for 4gb $125 for 6gb

& $145 a month for 10gb.... sure theres LTE but

Whatsapp barely uses anything, I send a ton of pictures and video on it yet still keep it under 100mb every month.

Looks like the plans for Fido/Koodo/Virgin are pretty much the same, deciding factor will probably be the phone cost. Fido you also get 4% back in fido dollars you can use towards the next phone, I've been with them since 2005 and haven't paid more than $100 for a phone because of it.

I looked into the S5 pricing and there's a few different combos depending on whether you want to pay more up front or more monthly.

If you need around 500mb a month:

Standard $44 500min 500mb = $550 S5 ($1606 before tax for 24 months)
Smart $49 500min 500mb = $400 S5 ($1576 before tax for 24 months)
Max $80 Unlimited Talk 500 mb = $250 S5 ($2170 before tax for 24 months)

The $80 plan is pretty much the same plan Telus/Rogers/Bell have
Keep in mind some retail locations will discount the hardware cost for you on new activations, Best Buy often has special deals with gift cards etc. and corporate Fido stores have different promotions all the time.

You'll get more fido dollars going on the Smart plan because monthly bills are more and a better discount on your next phone 2 years down the road. I probably wouldn't recommend going the max plan route to save $200 up front.

Why are you guys working the Koodo magic?

$49.50 for unlimited Canada wide calling/txt and 5GB data, caller ID, VM??
Im on this plan... sure it involves a bit more work but well worth it

Same thing can be had for fido but heard some people had issues with VM or something.. not sure...

LMAO... so you dont want to say " I plan to move to SK/MB and would like a plan for SK/MB" and would rather pay over pay for a plan and sign a 2 year contract.. If your that lazy, then you should over pay for a plan...
Im trying to you people here to save some money, and you dont have any respect for that, then maybe you should GTFO and not reply so someone trying to be helpful

<snip>
I'm on a pretty similar one with VM and I agree, I can't imagine paying more than $50/month unless you need some crazy international usage package or something. What the fuck are people doing to use tonnes of data but not be in an area with wifi?
