Well if this show does end and doesn't continue somewhere else - we'll have to see...

However, I have to say that this show, especially in it's earlier seasons has had a much greater influence on me as a car enthusiast compared to all of the F&F movies.

BBC's even stupider than I imagined.

This Oisin Tymon guy will forever be remembered as the clown who ruined Top Gear, regardless of whether it was his fault or not. He could go on to solve world hunger or become more famous than kim kardashians ass, but forever more, the first line in his wikipedia profile will read:

Only retarded fans will think that, everyone with a brain will realize JC brought this on himself, the comparisons with Jimmy Saville were apt, so even if the BBC wanted to they couldn't keep JC and maintain a certain level of character for the network, and a persons character is everything to Brits like 'face' is to Chinese

Boostslut 03-25-2015 10:53 AM

I'm happy he's gone. Lets get someone with a bit of respect and humility on the show, who isn't such an ass as Jeremy. Not butt hurt here, just looking forward to seeing what's next.

that Mr Tymon took himself to hospital after he was subject to an "unprovoked physical and verbal attack".

"During the physical attack Oisin Tymon was struck, resulting in swelling and bleeding to his lip."

It lasted "around 30 seconds and was halted by the intervention of a witness," Mr MacQuarrie noted in his report.

"The verbal abuse was sustained over a longer period" and "contained the strongest expletives and threats to sack" Mr Tymon, who believed he had lost his job.

Also no more Top Gear until 2016 and they'll be trying to release the last 3 episodes of this season

Great way of blaming the victim. When he went to the hospital he should of told them he tripped and hit a door knob.

A grown man going to the ER for a fat lip is hilarious. :rukidding:

I didn't blame the victim. I just said he will always be remembered as "that guy".

The show was getting pretty tired anyway. Clarkson plays an ass, May plays an old nerd, and Hammond plays an idiot child. They have been doing the same shtick for a LONG time now, but I would like to see the rest of this season.

I enjoy watching Clarkson, but I’d be interested so see him in a different venue of sorts. He entertaining, but only when he’s not playing up being an idiot. I’d like to hear his real opinion on specific cars.

I hope May gets a technical show spin off. I’d love to see just “James may on cars” getting as geeky as he wants. Car history, how stuff works, new car technology’s etc. That would be entertaining.

Hammond should go back to morning radio.

I’d like to see Clarkson, Plato, Needell and May all do a show together. Take the best bits of 5th gear and top gear and mash them up.

a fat lip can be pretty bad and require stitches...or he may have gone just to have evidence recorded of the incident so he could sue the show and bbc (but that never happened so...)

bananana 03-25-2015 04:52 PM

Hahaha, that fucking bastard. I was very excited to see how the P1, LaFerrari, 918 would pan out.

Whats funnier is a grown man having temper tantrum like a little kid and punching someone because the restaurant is closed.

Let me punch you and see how you react.

Anybody hear the news about Zayn Malik from One Direction? :troll:

Maybe.....Zayn as the new Top Gear host

...and Jezza as the new fifth member of One Direction

Almost sounds like Clarkson tried to sack himself. Maybe he wants out anyways and took advantage of the opportunity?

So March 4th it happened, he apologizes in numerous ways to the producer. Sounds like everythings fine now but then Clarkson decides to report himself March 9th. Just a thought.

Do hope the trio create something new somewhere else. Though it might not be top gear again im sure there are plenty of stations that have enough cash to make it happen.

Harvey Specter 03-25-2015 06:29 PM

If May and Hammond decide to leave and join JC and start a new show it'll probably be bigger than TG and make them a lot of money.

And it makes you wonder if BBC might just sell the TG brand if they realize that TG is basically worthless since May and Hammond have hinted they might not renew their contracts.

BBC and Jeremy fucked themselves...

Such a waste of a good show, especially nowadays where entertaining shows are super rare. I would say in the past 3-4 years the most entertaining show on television was Breaking Bad and Top Gear (imo).

I would add Walking Dead to the mix.

Really? IMO there seems to be too many good shows on TV these days..its actually a bit odd as it seems that maybe we've reached a gulf in society due to many number of reasons (economic, social, tech advances, etc) and people are watching more and more TV, so even small networks are able to afford, or risk producing, shows that do draw an audience, and due to the sheer amount of shows produced we end up with a lot of gems

I'm over it now. It's same old story line every episode and every episode ends with a happy ending.

underscore 03-25-2015 08:47 PM

There are a lot more shows in general now IMO, however there are very few (if any) that I would consider ranking with Top Gear in terms of entertainment value. I don't think I've ever been as eager to watch a new episode of any show as much as I have been for new episodes of TG.

nah imo tv isn't what it use to be back in the good old days like for example Friends, Everybody loves Raymond , King of queens , fresh prince, pimp my ride etc etc thats why more and more people are turning towards netflix as its a convenient way to watch past shows. I agree with harvey...walking dead wasn't bad either and Suits just got super boring after the second season...Family guy use to be funny but now its just forced and weird.

If it wasn't for GolTV and Beinsports i would most likely cancel my cable but i need my futbol fix.
