^ Would agree the new episodes are good seems like a lot of money were used for no reason (Pickup truck comparison in mind)

sonick 02-26-2019 12:49 PM

I gotta admit, the editing and usage of actual licensed music on Top Gear is clearly above and beyond The Grand Tour.

ae101 02-27-2019 07:21 PM

last top gear eps raid was barely on the show

DragonChi 04-12-2019 09:33 PM

Wow, so they actually ended the grand tour...

In TV show format. Apparently they're only doing specials now.

Badhobz 04-13-2019 02:46 PM

Clarkson showed some real humanity in the last episode. Quite touching that he's so passionate about their show. I guess 17 years (16 in the case of James) of doing the show will stir some deep emotions.

Still the best damn thing car related show of all time.

next season would be just challenges and trips

post that a few months ago, just didnt expect it to become like this (u know ending the live show)

Koflach 04-13-2019 05:13 PM

It's the end of an era. As much as I enjoy the challenges and trips I really do enjoy their reviews of cars.

ae101 04-15-2019 04:55 PM

SO PUT THAT FROUND UPSIDE DOWN, CUZ TGT IS GOING TO VIETNAM SOON

clarkson show that they will be going to vietnam soon on the Jonathan Ross show

CCA-Dave 04-15-2019 05:03 PM

I just hope it isn't all travel specials (which is what happened to TG USA). They need to continue with short documentaries like the Jim Clark segment, or the 917, Clarkson's Audi vs. Lancia...that wonderful Ford segment.

!Aznboi128 04-15-2019 06:44 PM

Anyone looking at Ford's after that episode?

There's an SVT contour for sale which looks really good at the moment.

Badhobz 04-15-2019 07:54 PM

Funny you say that. I was actually looking at Ford fusions to see how much I can score an loaded up one for.

Then I remembered my dad's old ford tempo and how I hated that piece of shit.

So the first ep of the all new Top Gear sans Rory Reid/Leblanc is out. I've got to say.. the two other hosts feel like they have so much forced chemistry.

I have a hard time understanding the new hosts with their thick accents. I don't even know who they are??? But I guess they're famous enough in the UK and that's the primary focus of the BBC.

I do like their new format with no more celebrity feature and the cinematography is still on point. But the new hosts don't do it for me. LeBlanc, Harris & Rory had perfect chemistry... maybe not as good as the OG trio but it was getting there.

Mancini 06-19-2019 05:18 AM

I haven’t watched the new show yet. I’ve said since the original reboot that they should let Harris do his thing and build a group around him. I followed his YouTube videos before he became host and he really had the review formula right and conveyed real enthusiasm.

I think they are keeping the celebrity feature just this episode didn't have it. Next week, there's two guests.

Bump, top gear returned last night with a new season!

The second season with the new cast and they seem to be gelling well. Entertaining as usual.

!Aznboi128 10-06-2020 07:29 AM

Harris is always good, how's the other guys? The last season it was hard understanding them. The accent was pretty strong.

donjalapeno 11-18-2020 08:52 AM

Cant wait to watch this..

320icar 11-18-2020 09:07 AM

Not gonna lie, I’ve looked into them before for my RS lol. Horribly useless in Canada, but seems like a few states allows them

underscore 11-18-2020 12:01 PM

After sinking my WK to the floor pan in snow I was seriously considering them for a brief moment.

Watched it yesterday, kinda got boring towards the end about after watching them go through the first 10 mudpits.

!Aznboi128 12-18-2020 05:37 PM

yea, got a bit too repitive.

was hoping Hammond got in another car after the focus broke, would be fitting if he had some cheap car to make it through the rest of the journey.
