As much as it sucks to see it all come to an end, it's good that they're doing it on their own terms. It looks like they're doing a bit of a throwback to Botswana which is cool.

Oh that would be amazing. The future Mrs.Dbone and I covered a lot of the same ground they did in their Botswana trip, though we had to take the long way around the salt pan as it was flooded.
idk i just have such a hard time enjoying jeremy clarkson anything after learning about how much of a twat he is. loved top gear in the earlier seasons.

does he kill kittens or something? I bet he is like any other celebrity. If approached and bothered when trying to do his day to day life tasks I bet he will be a prick. Rightfully so.
Clarkson's farm has been great. You see a bit of him that's NOT related to cars (mostly) and while a bit dramatic, shows how hard farming actually is and how thin the margins are.
Clarksons farm is one of the better shows on TV imo. It’s good clean entertainment and I’ve shockingly learned a bunch watching it. Definitely gave me a new perspective on how difficult farming is

You mean cuz he’s a racist / homophobe / sexist / etc ?
What do you expect from an old British guy ? Hierarchy and social classes were drilled into him at birth. Elitism was par course
The Top Gear series that had Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris, and Rory Reid is more enjoyable to watch compared to the Grand Tour episodes with Clarkson, Hammond, and May.
You have gearheads that had a passion for driving cars without the outdated, elitist jokes from that dinosaur Clarkson. LeBlanc Harris and Reid also have a great knowledge of the vehicles just like Clarkson and co.
I saw an old episode of Top Gear where Harris and LeBlanc raced each other from Dubai to the nearby country of Oman.
Harris thought that he would win the race easily in a Bugatti Chiron because the race rules were that LeBlanc could drive a car in the race.
LeBlanc took a chauffeur ride in a Bentley Mulsanne extended wheelbase, drove a speedboat, took a flight in a Honda Jet, and rode a Ducatti 1299 Superlegerra to beat Harris.
Sadly, LeBlanc reluctantly left Top Gear because the gruelling travel schedule meant that he was away from his family for long periods of time.

All three's solo shows have been great if you haven't seen them yet.
Hammond's Workshop - Hammond bought a classic car workshop and it talks about the trials and tribulations of owning a mechanics shop.
James May Our Man in... Japan / Italy / India - James' version of a food/travel show (e.g. Somebody Feed Phil, No Reservations, etc.)
James May Oh Cook! - James' version of a Food Network cooking show.
Hammond also pops up on DriveTribe once in awhile, the youtube channel originally launched by the 3 of them but I believe since then the other two sold their stakes out of it so it's just Hammond now.
Since separating from DriveTribe James has been putting his solo content on his Gin YouTube Channel (its not all Gin related): https://www.youtube.com/@JamesMayDrinks
Sonick is a genius. I won't go into detail what's so great about his post. But it's damn good!

2003 Mazda Protege5 - Sold

Get out of here with your lazy stereotypes. There still exist elements of social class in England, but it's not that different than in the US. If you don't think there's a Harvard/Yale elite there then you're fooling yourself. You just have to account for the the silly accents of the elite and absolutely shameless tabloid media the Brits have. The amount of BS and false shit storms they create is mind blowing. The rage industry has been stuck on 11 for decades and part of that rage is induced by trying to drive a class wedge in where no one really give a fuck anymore. When it comes to social classes times have changed quite a bit from the Victorian era..or even the 50s.
Clarkson is brash, probably a bit of a dick at times, and does love to poke the eye of the left wing media, but I don't think it's fair to call him racist/hobophobic/sexist/etc. It's stupid to say so just because he's an old public school educated rich Brit.
Edit: If you want to hate on a rich racist Top Gear presenter, then hate on Chris Evans. That guy does fit your stereo type.
Er.... Clarkson has said quite a many racist and sexist things over the years.
Some of them intentional... some of them, as you might say, because he's an old public school educated rich Brit and more unintentional... however, I would tender that this is not really an excuse for bumbling about non-chalantly unaware of your ever-changing surroundings saying "oopsie" all the time, which is definitely a position of great privilege not being appreciated.
He's said a lot of stupid things over the years, but I think that's more him just being a bit of an idiot without much of a filter when it comes to cracking jokes. I'd have a hard time believing he's actually racist/sexist.

Yah there's no excuse for that... he did come out after and apologize to that guy and said he was in a state having received news he might have tongue cancer the day that happened... but still gotta have some manner of self-control against your own entitlement.
England is very racist anywhere outside of London.
I lived in small town England for two years before moving to a larger town. I'm not going to pretend there isn't an element of xenophobia and of course there are some real racists. Just look at the riots that are going on there now. Look at UKIP etc.
But generally it's not considered OK. They have large institutions in place to stamp that crap out. It is abhorred by most of society.
Also, no one is defending the whole Clarkson punching the producer thing. He rightfully got chucked out of the BBC for it. I believe his other incident of this nature was when he punched Piers Morgan.. so.. I guess he's 50/50 on his violence.
Anyway, looking forward to this last episode. I'm sure it's a license to open the nostalgia taps.
Westbury in Wiltshire for a few months, then Yeovil for two years. After that I moved to Berkshire for several more years.
I'm surprised to hear you say it's all very racist outside of London if you've spent time there. Of course there's a-holes everywhere in the world, and England absolutely isn't short of those, but I don't recall any conversations that really ran afoul except perhaps when the conversation came to 'Travelers'.
But obviously Nigel Farage's popularity is a counterpoint and I do get that.

I didn't think it was when I travelled with my family there, granted we're all white... but when I brought my ex-wife who was Taiwanese there and we stayed awhile and toured all over the place we got treated very, very differently lots of disparaging looks... lots of experiences with people talking to her like "HELLO... DO... YOU... SPEAK... ENGLISH" and generally poor service at eating places I had frequented with no issues in the past. It was a real eye opener.
Most of Europe is/was (this is anecdotal from 15 years ago now) like that to be fair though, I went on a trip all over Europe with a Polish friend and we had the run of the town every city and country we went, but I did the same route with a friend from Hong Kong 1 year later and it was a completely different experience... getting stopped by police for no reason, bad or dismissive service, ignored, even to the point when we walked into the LV store on Champs D'Elysees they stopped him at the door to check his passport because they didn't let people from China in at the time for fear of them buying to counterfeit (and there were actually ladies outside the store trying to coerce with cash for people to go in and buy for them) lol
^ We've been to Europe twice, once in 2015 and then in 2018. We never really encountered anything like that throughout France and Germany. People were super nice and we never got stopped for anything.
The only time we had to pull our passports out were trying to get the tax refund thing dealt with at Lafayette. We did get stopped by Chinese ladies asking if we can buy stuff for them because there were restrictions on tourgroups. There was also a younger Chinese dude who was making a huge racket about being let in because he was in a hurry, totally fit into the stereotype why China tourists are generally disliked.
There is a look though. We did not look the part of the China tourist and I think that's what got us through, we were obviously tourists but not the hated kind. You look around Vancouver you can instantly pick out who's from China and not assimilating, who's born or grew up here, the new HK FOBs. They have a look to them. It's a subtle fashion thing, or the way they talk, or the way they hold themselves, you can tell.
