I don't know why everyone is spoilering these but..
Spoiler!
I think thankfully they were rocks and not bullets.
And "police" in other (mostly less developed) countries don't carry nearly as much power/respect as they do in North America, Europe, etc.
Also there was a riot in Argentina after the 2014 world cup loss if I remember correctly.
I'd read that the wheels changed on the red car due to the older model wheels having bigger sidewalls and being more comfortable for someone to drive after they got injured. (Trying to be vague so I don't have to spoiler everything)

because the falklands war is recent in comparison...and the issues haven't ended...(recent vote)
Europe still imprisons people simply questioning the holocaust and that ended 70 years ago
and here we have what was/is still a hot topic issue in Argentina, the sovereignty vote happened in 2013, and we have Brits poking the bull within it's pen (protesters consisted of falkland war veterans)
it's just painfully obvious that the BBC should have been a bit more sensitive to the issue...especially when producers had a 2 weeks heads up and a contingency plan (that they never went through with)

The end of the Vietnam War and the Falklands War are only 7 years apart.

As far as the protestors go the ones speaking to the crew may have been veterans but the asshats attacking the crew sure as hell weren't old enough to have been in a war in 1982.

I'm not sure how the BBC could have been more sensitive without cancelling the entire shoot partway through. They didn't know the plate was something to even consider until they were already a few days into production, and when it was brought to their attention they came up with a plan to change the plate before getting to the city that may take offense to it. Bear in mind nobody had displayed any sort of issue with the plate for the majority of their journey. Then when protestors show up and ask them to leave they agree to do so, and when they're trying to leave they get ambushed by some shitheads that clearly knew the only route the crew could take (which makes me think the protestors at the hotel were trying to force the crew into a trap).
And bear in mind, this is all over one interpretation of seven letters and numbers on a piece of metal, even IF it was intentional that's absolute childs play. Anyone who can be so severely offended by something like that needs to get the pinecone out of their ass because there are much, much more offensive things out there.
Sorry Argentina, but the Falklands aren't yours, those Chilean islands aren't yours, your city isn't the southernmost in the world so stop acting like a bunch of twats.

as for the incident... it's too easy to judge the Argentinians from those of us that have never seen combat so I'm going to remain neutral. Hatred is hatred and can linger for a lifetime. I'm just glad no one was seriously hurt.
did May really fracture his ribs? i'm surprised he just soldiered on
the way he fell off his horse i cannot see how he could have have not gotten some sort of major injury... maybe he said something on his twitter account?

I had some girl come into the busser station the other day trying to make out with every staff member and then pull down her pants and asked for someone to stick a dick in her (at least she shaved).
