If it does happen, don't be afraid to call them out. Tell them that they're being an idiot, and that nobody appreciates what they're doing.

That's my plan, at least.

wait... that picture of the R32 actually happened? OUCH, i thought that was just some random picture off the net.

thats one way to flip a car for money

There will not be a re-occurrence of this non-sense at the RS meet. The members on here in the past have shown good meet etiquette and in general are not immature imbeciles.

Accelerating out of a parking lot, w/e as long as your not stupid and you don't end up in a ditch.

But doing burnouts with other cars feet from yours, especially cars which people have put a lot of time and effort into cleaning/modifying/etc. is just pure idiocy. I mean I don't think that dumbass Ram owner would have loved it if I went out front of his car and started throwing rocks at it by hand, and what he did is really not that different.

Apparently the R32 left a nice oil slick after high revving his motor.

lol @ steven mcwhinnie... sigh... kids today...

it's a shame that a revscene member is so vehemently defending someone who was being irresponsible.

I feel bad for the car that hit the pole and flipped, apparently his rim broke in two pieces

orgasm_donor 03-16-2014 06:06 PM

So that's three cars that crashed during/after the meet?

- GTR
- Supra
- The upside down silver car

That is some terrible statistics right there. This event just set us motoring enthusiasts back by years. :failed:

Gh0stRider 03-16-2014 06:08 PM

2 flipped cars :haha:

I go out to meets irrespective of the club or organizer because I want to check out other rides, and if I'm lucky meet some like minded people along the way.

I went to this event and was very disappointed by the behavior of many drivers. People were doing burnouts in the lot kicking up stones on other people rides, absolute lack of common sense if they were to lose control of their ride and slam into someone else's. 90% of the time they had N signs on their car. Then there were others peeling out onto the main road some barely keeping control of their car sliding all over the place in an attempt to show off. I was waiting for one of them to fly over the grass into someones car only to think it was inevitable.

My main question is why on all sides? A redundant question but I really don't get it. I heard there were 4 accidents after people left. Common sense will tell you: shitty road conditions - drive carefully. Where does this assumption come that if you have a modified car it justifies you driving like a cunt? I don't care how good of a driver you are: there is a time and place for that shit.

From an organizers perspective you should neither allow nor encourage this shit. I can't tell you how paranoid I was of some monkey peeling out while coming toward my car thinking what if he suddenly lost control?

All things taken into account I will not be going to this event again. No accountability, no sense of order or control. Obviously I expected too much...a lesson learnt.

One could argue that the organizer can't control what people do, but if you are putting on an event you need to be accountable and put forethought and planning into enforcing responsibility on other. You need to be vigilant about that shit man. Doing a burnout? GTFO. Have enough people helping to maintain a sense of order. I welcome police presence, so when an 18 year old kid decided he wants to play tokyo drift and slams into a car he suffers the repercussions of his actions.

This is why I normally enjoy Revscene meets. The mods and volunteers put a lot of time and effort into making sure things run smoothly. And even though sometimes the police hand out tickets during the meet (this has only happened once in the 5 or so years I've been going -that I've seen anyway-, and quite frankly he deserved it), I'm glad they're around. They keep the morons at bay most of the time.
