is there a big market for jdm cars out in courtenay? |
I've seen this car in person, and it was in pretty rough shape. Paint was terrible, and the bumper was cut poorly for the tow hook. |
The guy at Tyee typically sells out of province since people don't have to come and look at the cars (and run away). There's probably a reason their shop moved. I had a friend who lived near their old location and told me it looks like a scrapyard in person. I guess we can always rely on Velocity Cars now? With them sponsoring the Spring meet, it should be a good sign, right? |

Big market for Mitsubishi Delica's. I think it's the most common JDM car from what I have seen. |
delica's have a pretty big market on the west coast as a reliable off road 4x4 camper. it wont do any rock crawling or hillclimbs but for travelling forest service roads and getting off the beaten path they're pretty hard to beat. |

Yes they did move from Campbell River to Courtenay. I was in Courtenay last month and saw a couple Delicas. I've seen a fair amount of Skylines, 180sx/Silvia, FD RX7 here on the island. I'd say it's accurate that a lot of cars are being shipped out of province. Maybe the owners are lurking on here and can shed some light. |
