Bazzaz QS4 quick shifter unit came in! This is a sweet little piece of equipment that allows clutchles and essentially seamless up shifts :hotbaby:. It connects in with your ignition harness and ecu. The kit comes with a shift rod sensor that will send a signal to the unit to momentarily cut ignition when there is movement in the shift lever. It allows you to lock the throttle wide open and smash through the gears without ever rolling off :fullofwin:. I'll take everything out soon and lay it out with photos, probably installing later this week.

Finally got around to ordering the chain and sprockets, kept stock gearing for the track's around here on the West coast. A set of Superlite steel sprockets in 520 pitch, 43 teeth rear 16 teeth front!

Perfect fit on that Marchesini hub, kick's going on end of those month hopefully. For the chain I went with a RK GXW 520 in gold.

Its time for a bit of an update, this thread's collecting dust! Kind of went MIA on everybody over the last two months. As a few of you probably know, I was involved in a pretty big accident on track back in mid June while at the Ridge Motorsports Park. Won't dive too much into the details but it was a bit of a freak accident, and essentially manifested into a 4-5 bike pile up.

The result was a separated shoulder and broken scaphoid/distal radius on my throttle hand, so this Summer was more or less a write off. Undergone surgery with an orthopedic specialist on June 21st, and just had my pin sites removed 3 weeks ago. I'm just finally back on the road to recovery. Doing physio 3 times a week to stretch out the tendons and regain range of motion back in my wrist. Strength is still at 20% and my range of motion is still only at 30% but I'm happy with the progress so far given the short time it's been.

External fixator/pin site was used due to my fracture being in a delicate location. The surgeon said he's seen the procedure/internal hardware come undone before in the past, before it's fully healed. Maybe its over kill but it was just a extra means of precaution.

It's much appreciated, and I hope so too! Did you mean did I make the progress all on my own? Well I spend about an hour a day doing physio exercises outside of my sessions, whether it be light weights to gain back the muscle I lost from atrophy, to stretching my tendons back out that contracted from being dormant for 2 months. Also my wrist joint had stiffened up to the point where its near immobile and you have to gradually force it free and move it in different directions to gain back the range of motion. The only way is to push through the pain. You gain it back slowly but when you're anxious to rebound from it, it can feel like the progress is moving at a crawling pace. It's good to set the bar high though because if you let it passively heal on it's own, it would permanently heal with limited range.

I was doing a bit of research on my own on the internet with people that have had similar fractures (ie. video recovery logs on youtube) and the range of motion I've recovered in the last 3 weeks is what some others have made in 2-3 months time, it definitely helps me sleep easier at night. I actually even rode my bike today for the first time in over 2 months :megusta:

As far as the replacement of my rearset components and rear tire go I was not able to do it on my own this time around due to the lack of strength. Electrical stuff I don't fair very well either so our shop mech was kind enough to lend me the hand I needed 3 weeks ago (pun intended :lol).

The body work I was able to finish off on my own though, although it was challenging. I'd say it took me about 10-11 hours total with my strong hand this week:woot2:. It involved a bit of drilling, trimming and filing to get some of the pieces to properly line up. Plus the aftermarket body work did not use stock mounting brackets for the headlight housing so I had to find/use alternative sized hardware in certain spots. It was a lot of assembling and disassembling to ensure all the fitment and lines of the bodywork were to my standards.

Holy shit how did I miss this dude. I don't even have words to say how brutal that wrist looks ( like it must have been). At least it's a good kill story instead of "I tripped on the curb while trying to text someone".

Still doing physio, the bike's come to a temporary halt but I still have some front end components coming in. I'll probably have them installed come Spring. I have about 50% range of motion again and it's still improving so this is good news! I have a final follow up with my surgeon one week from today. I've actually been back riding since August, against my physiotherapist's advice :lol should have seen his reaction when walked through the door with my lid in hand

Ohh I hear you man it's definitely served as a good ice breaker for people I've met over the last few months, and thanks! This particular m4 slip-on does eliminate the cat. While I think it looks and sounds great, it is obnoxiously loud. At certain a rpm it'll drone at a frequency that just resonates inside the whole helmet :eek5r: so I had to resort to wearing noise cancelling headphones. I'm sure it doesn't help either the fact that the outlet for the pipe sits directly under the rider's right ear. I swear this pipe is the neighbor hater 2000 haha, especially during the morning hours.

Hey guys and gals, just another update. I'm still here :) just the last few months have been super busy. The paramedics had to cut me out of my gloves and race suit back in June, so this calls for new gloves lol. Absolutely love these, they are the Dainese Full Metal RS. It was much different than my last pair which had free floating impact absorbing foam/kevlar suspended on top of the glove. These Dainese gloves instead have the protection pieces built INTO the glove, the last pair of gloves I had felt like I was wearing nothing at all (Ned Flanders reference for teh lulz).

This pair of gloves took a while to get used to though, they were super stiff until after I broke them in and let me tell ya, having a weak wrist youre trying to rehabilitate doesnt help.

Decided to take the bike out for a quick spin to remedy my winter blues last week. Also decided I should stop procrastinating and put fuel stabilizer in it lmao (last time I rode it was the end of October day before my insurance expired) but its only been 2 months ish.

In preparation for Spring 2015, decided to pick up some goodies. EBC sintered double h brakes pads! These provide a much more aggressive initial bite than your run of the mill stock pads (unless your bike comes equipped with OEM brembos).

Also finally picked up a Pitbull rear stand as I included my old stand with the sale of my previous bike. I was going to buy one after the first track day last year, but wound up binning the bike so it wasn't a priority after that.

Lastly some Motul Moto Wash, saw this sitting on the shelf at work. Hell of $14 why the hell not give it a try. I haven't washed my bike since, well end of Summer LOL.
