If your mom forfeits her license, all previous tickets will be waived. Of course if she ever plans to get it again, you'll need to pay it. Also IIRC, your mom shouldn't even have a BCDL since she is no longer a resident of BC/Canada.

People have actually been killed because the body of the person not wearing a seatbelt slammed into them. Would you want to be hit by a big sack of meat during a car crash?

I am sure that is a possibility just like anything else. But I wouldn't bet on that being the fatal factor in the vast majority of MVIs

yes but just because you survive a car accident doesn't mean you aren't seriously injured for the rest of your life.
