shoulder injury

My rotator cuff (i think) is super tight

It hurts quite a bit to raise it above eye level, both lateral and front raises

after warmup it goes away but I've been avoiding bench pressing or any pressing excersizes for 1 week but hasn't gotten any better

should I go to physio or any recommendations for recovery

thanks

Best to talk to your doctor about seeing a specialist before you mess up your rotator more

certain deep layer muscles are not firing at the right time and there may be some tendon-bone rubbing happening.

definitely see a physical therapist so that they can prescribe you muscle activation, neural and range of motion exercises to help facilitate function.

did you injure this at worksite or on your own? if it was injured at your worksite you might be able to file a wcb claim. so check that out as well.

IMO, most doctors know jack squat about physical injuries unless it's blanetely obvious.
I would say just go to a Physio clinic. Also try to avoid sleeping on that shoulder as well.

If you are near the New West Area I would recommend Catalyst.

Shoulder impingement most likely

Shoulder Impingement/Rotator Cuff Tendinitis-OrthoInfo - AAOS

Look for few exercises and do them before visiting physio/doctors/chiro.

People who workout should be getting massaged weekly. See a sports therapist.
