Moving out for the first time

hey guys,

so im looking to move out from my uncles house sometime this year. I think it has just come to that time where i am no longer wanted, for free LOL so i rather pay rent somewhere else and just be more independent. I have obviously never done this before..so i was hoping you guys could help me on some sites and such that i could look at as to what to look for when deciding to rent some place. i did a quick search on RS but nothing...and probably should try google , but you guys seem to know your stuff so hopefully you can help me out. Thanks!

In my experience, Craigslist was all I ever needed.

If you or a family member/friend can read and speak Chinese, the Chinese papers often have amazing deals but are a bit of a pain to sift through as they almost never list pricing and of course have no pictures. You just have to call/view them all one by one lol. Also keep in mind many of these landlords speak little English and may have a preference for applicants who speak their language.

PadMapper is a great tool if you're looking for apartments. It's great if you're looking into a specific area also. Craigslist meets google maps.
