i dislike Cyanogen. i find it too bland, lack of features, and doesn't fully utilize the OnePlus.
Either give me stock AOSP rom or a customized rom by the company who designed the phones themselves. I dont need cyanogenmod really.
I say bland because it looks literally like stock android, however in reality they just made it more complicated and messier than stock.
Lack of specific features for a phone the size of 5.5", such as one-handed use mode, that are found on other roms such as Color OS or Miui.
Doesn't utilize the OnePlus hardware efficiently. probably due to poor coding, they may once be glorious in the early days of android, nowadays there are so many teams that make better roms than they ever will.
it just doesnt feel "complete" when using CM on a OnePlus, it feels like there is no ecosystem on the phone. very user unfriendly.

Thinking of getting my back cover replaced with the bamboo one, so I dont have to look at their company name everytime I pick up my phone.

I dont think CM is bad, it does pack features... just that people have different needs... you can always install Xposed and add features what you
I hate roms that lack an app drawer... I hate having icons all over the screen and flipping through so many screens..

and also my torch turns on quite often too.

might want to turn off your gestures then, I used to accidently turn on my music all the time when the phone was in my pocket. I turned off the quick gesture for the music and that solved my problem

Anyone on XNPH44S, the latest update?

Just updated last night, phone is much snappier now, but battery life is dreadful.

Got my phone a couple days ago and it recently updated to that. Build date is Nov 4 2014. Battery life is amazing but there are minor glitches... like random reboots, or the music and torch turning on randomly. Turned off gestures and it fixed that, thanks for the above tip ^^^^

The phone is overall a little "slower" than iPhone which I am used to, but the tradeoff is that I actually have a phone that lasts through an entire day without needing a pit-stop charge which I find unacceptable.

^ Btw, that build date is the date of 44S and not your phone's physical build date, that can be found on the box.

If this is your main phone, and you are on LTE plans then you might want to reconsider. When the phone is on LTE, there is no 3G anymore. Either you are on 3G or LTE, not both. So when the LTE signal gets weak, it doesn't automatically switch to 3G, thus no signal at all. This is so weird

With my Rogers LTE plan I get only <20 mbps on the OnePlus, whereas I can get up to >70mbps on my iPhone 6 plus. Can anyone share their LTE speeds on OnePlus? Trying to find out the reason behind this.

I am on Fido and my speed test with with 1+1, Ip5s and Ip6 is all about 50Mbps download. Check your APN settings on the 1+1

nabs 12-26-2014 01:29 PM

Running speed test on cellular networks  so much data wasted.

recheck all your settings. when my OPO drops off LTE it connects to 3G then down to H+.

heres mine when i first got my OPO configured properly. 6GB data plan ftw.

Not sure about you but mine switches fine... It depends on how low connection is before it changes...
And when you say no more 3G is incorrect... when you make calls, it switches to 3G connection right away..

LOL, usually near the end of my billing cycle, I check to see how much data left and if theres lots, I try to waste it by doing speed test, not using wifi as much.....

inv4zn 12-27-2014 07:50 PM

I guess Telus LTE is a bit slower.

Ran it a few times, and I averaged about 80 Mbps download and 35 upload.
