Official OnePlus thread OnePlus.net http://forums.oneplus.net/attachments/23rd-png.930/ http://i-cdn.phonearena.com/images/a...ada-UK-etc.png Specs are slowly coming out... The OnePlus One is confirmed to feature a Snapdragon 800 chipset with 3GB of RAM and will run CyanogenMod 11 based on Android 4.4 KitKat. The kernel sources and stock images will be provided on day of sale, similarly to the Oppo N1. The display is expected to be 5" with a 1080p resolution and the company revealed it won't be of the OLED variety. OnePlus belives the phone will be a little smaller than the Nexus 5 thanks to its "slightly better screen/body ratio." What's interesting is that there won't be a 32GB version, as the One will be offered in 16GB and 64GB flavors. The larger storage option will come at a price close to what other companies ask for 32GB models, OnePlus notes. Rumored to be made out of metal, the One will also sport a notification LED. Will support 9 LTE bands (bands 1/3/4/7/17/38/39/40/41) 3100 mAh battery 5.5” 1080p JDI display with 400+ PPI Quoted from the VP Pete Lau "So, why not fit a 5.5” screen into a 5.0” handset? After a lot of trial and error, our engineers figured it out." http://forums.oneplus.net/threads/th...efficient.370/ Looks like Canada will be one of the country to get this phone... |

Those specs are amazing. Took a look at some of the concept photos. Buying it for the sake of cost and what it contains inside. |

but i just got my nexus5 lol |
Apparently they won't be selling it outright on April 23. You have to earn an invite of some sorts by participating in contests, etc. in order to be capable of purchasing the phone. Slightly a turn-off to put effort to purchase a phone. |
tried meizu, tried Xiaomi...I really like them, but these companies really need to spend more on hardware QA. |
|
it's time to upgrade from my s3 anyways.. thing is slowly decaying on me |
http://www.androidcentral.com/youll-...lus-one-launch Apparently in order to purchase on Apr. 23 and subsequent days (not sure how long, depends on their amount of supply), you need an invite. To attain an invite, you need to receive one from someone who already has one or you participate in their contests. This damn business model is frustrating - would have rather seen them do pre-orders. |

Please Note: There are no invites to give away as of today. More information will be available on the day of launch. Update 1: Some have voiced concerns about there being a second market for invites. The Invite System was designed to counter this from the start, with us having full control over distribution and expiry times. The re-sale of invites will not be a major issue. Update 2: We have received some great feedback over the past few hours, and understand that not everyone likes to hang out on online forums. I want to clarify that both those who have supported us from the beginning on the forums, and those who have been interested but not registered on the forums will have ways to get invites. All the info you find elsewhere gets all theirs from the OnePlus forums. |

but well after their whole invite nonsense ends |
